Sorry, but anything other than MSRP is just dealer greed, no matter how much say it isn't. Program cost of 2k spread over your ten vehicles is $200 each, a rather small amount that barely touches your profit.

Man, I wish I had qualified for the 8 allocations without having to buy them and pay for the other dealers for their enrollment fees.

I'm averaging $500 a car, on all 8 GT500s.

I paid $16,000 in enrollment money, for 16 cars (8 GT500s and 8 GT350s), then paid MSRP for 5 cars, MSRP +$500 on 1 car, and MSRP +2,500 on 1 car.

Averaged out, I'll make about $500-1,000 per vehicle.

AGAIN, my goal is to throw enough registrations in that I can qualify for the next round for Ford GT allocations.

I just looked, $83 on 3 vehicles haha

My wife took pictures when you guys flew the plane in, and it popped up on her TimeHop the other day and the kids got really excited and asked when you guys were coming to visit again!

It will be a bit, one plane is for sale and the one you saw last time, the prop is nearly out of time.

The Shelby Dealer Enrollment is $2k for the program billed on your P&A Code Statement in Q3 2019 which gets you one Gt500 and one GT350 as a minimum, regardless of allotments awarded, not for each vehicle. I'm sure you read that on the enrollment bulletin sent to all dealers earlier this year (it's easy enough for anyone to find if you didn't).

Unless of course you are saying you paid the program enrollment for 8 dealerships, then paid them $3k over their cost on the base models to buy them at MSRP. That would mean you would need to sell each one at 2k over MSRP just to meet your cost. You've clearly pointed out earlier that you sold several to members here at MSRP and then just a minute ago said you were making "about $500-$1,000 per vehicle".

I'm no math expert, but if you sell under 2k OVER MSRP you are taking a loss based on your statements...how can you take a loss and then say you are making a profit???

You don't read very well.

1. Yes, $2k PER dealership to enroll. I don't sell enough Mustangs in a calendar year to roll for any more than 1 of each. So I purchased 7 additional allocations from other small dealerships. In order to purchase them, I had to pay their enrollment fees.

2. I will own MY allocation for invoice less holdback and sell it for MSRP. The other cars I will own five of them for MSRP and sell them for $1,000 over, and then own one car for $500 over MSRP and then the final car was purchased at $2,500 over MSRP. I also purchased the GT350s, at invoice, and am selling them for $1,000 OVER invoice. If you take ALL 16 cars (GT350s and GT500s), and average out the profits, it will fall between $500-1,000 per car.

3. No, you are not a math expert. However, I bet your math is better than your reading comprehension.

Hopefully this sheds some light on your lack of knowledge on the subject.

MSRP is 70,300. Cost is 67,429. That's 2871 before any dealer hold back, finance or insurance incentives, packages/options and extended warranties.

Like everyone is saying, they sell themselves so you get at least 3K for filling out 30 minutes worth of paperwork without having to actually try to sell the vehicle.

Woe is you, the poor dealer making no money and saying selling them way above MSRP to other dealers for resale which according to you isn't hurting consumers.

post personal experience of how you conducted your business/your profession in such a manner.. And by that we mean, what prduct you build, what it costs you, what facilities you have to construct, and what they are sold for

or
what service you provide, years of experience, accreditations, expenses/facilities/advertising etc,
and what you charge

and how you could have charged more, but chose not to out of greed

we are all eagerly awaiting your response Bernie

Well, my dealer just called me and said no one in the Kansas City area got a golden ticket or gold certificate for the CF package. I’m going to think about it, but most likely out.

For one the golden ticket is become known as false explanation spread across the internet, and of course they will say it lol it to me seems like a good excuse to grab top dollar for their so called confirmed cf pack allocation.

Your dealer meant to say, "We didn't receive enough allocations in order to earn a CF Package, so instead of telling you that I'm going to tell you no one around can get you one, in hopes you settle for what we earned."

Yup, I'm certain there were at least 5 dealers in that area that have at least 1 Wonka, maybe a couple with 2.
Problem is, they are probably already taken. I'd get in line for next year.

You have your head so far up your ass it’s not even funny! Painful but not funny!

Dealers, honest ones like nick do not make any money on new car sales! None, zip, zilch. They take a loss every year. They do this to create a huge profit on parts and service!

You and your better than crap attitude is getting old and is the definition of a hypocrite! You want the dealer to sell hot cars at msrp but won’t pay even invoice on normal trucks or daily drivers. You gladly spend 100% markup on any piece of clothing but when a dealer tries to make 1.2% on a car sale they are the devil.

You’ve been wrong for the past 3 years. You are wrong today and you will be wrong tomorrow. Man that must take a lot of effort to be wrong this often!

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but at least I’m not a tool! Opinions are like a**holes everyone has one, or maybe most just are a**holes! Pick one! I said this in the past to Tob and I will say this to Nick. I could walk by either one of the two of you on the street and not know who you are. The way the two of you and the majority of you guys conduct yourselves is nothing short of professional! I would be honored to meet the majority of you. If I have the means during the second model year of this GT500 and if Nick can swing it for me I would be honored to purchase a vehicle from him. I have family in Missouri, hell I may just make an appointment to test drive a Fiesta so I could meet Nick and treat him to a steak dinner!

Don't forget used cars, suvs and trucks.

If only that were true anymore haha With the internet, you can't make near the ROI as you used to. Back in the 90s on used vehicles it was 10-12%...now it's 2.5-3.5% and that's before you pay your employees involved with the deal.

Dealerships make their money in service. If you closed down the VAST majority of dealership's service departments, they would be out of money within a year.

There is a really good BBQ place down the road from me...

Lemmings.

On a personal level, I obviously don't have anything against you as I don't know you.

To me it seems as if you are one of those people who look at a situation, come up with your explanation of it, then repeat it til the death and convince yourself that you're right.

Would you like me to put you on the list for one next year?
