1. Not sure how you can say competitive prices but admit yourself you sold them way more than they were worth and sold others at msrp...that makes no sense.
2. Yes, they were suckers, we get that.
3. You say ignorant, I call it integrity.
4. Fact is that base GT500, with nothing else, is 3k profit for dealer. I know options don't add much, but your $1,000 dealer prep makes it 4k.
5. Yes, I should pay to be mocked and put down and to listen to you try and justify why dealers charge more than the product manufacturers suggest...sounds like a great idea.

Last time I checked, Ford ensures there is a reasonable dealer profit when selling any Ford vehicle as MSRP...again, anything above that is greed, no matter how much you want to justify it.

When you pay an ADM, that ADM is gone as soon as you drive off the lot as there is no inherent value in them.

1. Any SVTP member, or consumer in the world had an opportunity to buy the vehicles from me at MSRP...they didn't...a dealer wanted them, so I priced them and sold them. I never turned down a deal on the vehicles.
2. Non-argument.
3. Integrity? lol
4. $1,000 dealer prep? Where the hell did this number come from?
5. You're mocked because you say some of the stupidest shit I have ever read on a public forum. You, along with 4 other people on this forum, are the definitions of parasitic trolls.
6. Ford ensures a reasonable dealer profit eh? How much do you think is reasonable on a $18,000 Fiesta? $85,000 Expedition? Needless to say, if I sold every car at MSRP throughout the year, I would have 5 track cars and gigantic herd of unicorns in my backyard.

At the end of the day, you're coming across as a salty guy that accidentally ate the Wheaties someone pissed in. I don't really give a rat's ass what you think of me, as I'm sure I've helped at least 1 more (slight exaggeration) SVTP member than you have. Have a great day :)

Did you ever go to the movies?

Why didnt you just wait until it could be rented on Prime and make your own popcorn?

Does the theater sell Coke for msrp?

I'm not being a cheerleader cause he doesnt need me but some of your points are flawed. And some are spot on.
And I'm the first guy to complain about ADM as a buyer. But as a business person... its business.

Let me ask, if you owned 1 dealership and paid the 2k shelby enrollment fee. You had 10 ppl that were real buyers. None of which you have friendly or business relationship with.

5 were in at msrp only
Other 5 were willing to spend 3k to 15k over msrp.

Would you refuse to sell it with adm?

1. You turned down Kaneda, so #1 is a lie.
2. Ditto
3. Clearly that word is foreign to you.
4. 1095 is standard D & D...maybe yours is less?
5. See number #1 for facts.
6. So because you don't make as much on a lower priced vehicle that's your justification to charge more on a higher price vehicle? Sounds to me that maybe you should switch to a more expensive product line.

At the end of the day you're coming across as a greedy dealer who pisses in peoples Wheaties. I don't care what you think of me either, lol.

Have a great day yourself :)

Not sure how renting a movie compared to going to see it in the theater equates to purchasing a vehicle...can't exactly get one at my house.

Coke does not supply a MSRP for their product, nor is that industry standard in the beverage industry...not apples to apples I'm afraid.

Yes I would sell at MSRP...because that's how you develop a friendly relationship with your customers, which in turn brings the best word of mouth advertising and repeat customers. 10 vehicles and you're eating $200 a vehicle...while still make a profit and pleasing future repeat customers.

Have you read how many people on here have been told by their usual dealer that they are being charged ADM's and therefore they are looking elsewhere? That's what happens, people go elsewhere.

Depwraith,
Are you going to buy a 2020 GT500? There are MSRP deals out there and 13Cobra has a long history of going out of his way to make sure members and customers pay MSRP or quite a bit less on very desirable cars.

I was hoping you'd be able to make it thru the obvious to see my bigger point. which is captive audience.

Re: msrp, like Nick, youre one of the very few who would (does) sell at msrp and you have more in common with him than you think. Only difference is he actually doing it.

Btw, are you looking to buy one?

Heres the issue with all your statements. No one forced anyone to buy them. The customer who bought them over msrp at the dealer they were at could've bought them from nick at msrp. They didnt though.

And nick didnt turn down kaneda. These are old gt350 allocations...

I can't help myself.

1. I sure did. I'd turn you down at this point too :)
3. Negative.
4. That is a hard cost, that Ford charges me as well. It's anywhere from $995 to $1,595, goes in to the MSRP and invoice on a vehicle. It's more or less the same as a gas guzzler tax.
5. See #1.
6. Dealers don't make anything on lower end units. Anything under $22k or so does not turn a front end profit, period. I also pointed out $85k Expeditions...they make $3k at FULL MSRP, which they sell for under invoice on a daily. All of mine are priced $1k back of invoice, minus the public rebates.

I'm far from greedy. If I were greedy, I would've sold all 8 of my allocations for $5-10k over MSRP without offering them for sale to anyone. Obviously I didn't do that, so I'm not sure what your premise is devised from.

I think if I averaged the last 3 vehicles my wife and I have bought from Nick, he is probably making in the ~$50 range per car.

I beg my other family members to buy vehicles from him when they need a new one. I have no clue why my in laws bought local, as far as I can tell they spent ~$5k more than Nick would have charged for a similar truck. They just stopped asking me and wouldn't call him. Their loss though.

I just looked, $83 on 3 vehicles haha

My wife took pictures when you guys flew the plane in, and it popped up on her TimeHop the other day and the kids got really excited and asked when you guys were coming to visit again!

I believe I have seen 2019 GT350's that didn't come with the Gurney Flap but did have the threaded inserts in the spoiler. That would indicate only one part number instead of two and seems logical.

@Tob
I had my dealer look at their 2019 GT350 and they said there were treaded insets on the bottom rear of the wing and they have what looks like plastic plugs in the holes and the holes did not go through to the top. I didn't know that the Gurney Flap attached to the bottom of the wing.

Here is a picture of a 2019 with the gurney flap installed, this answered all my questions except for the availability over the counter.

MSRP is 70,300. Cost is 67,429. That's 2871 before any dealer hold back, finance or insurance incentives, packages/options and extended warranties.

Like everyone is saying, they sell themselves so you get at least 3K for filling out 30 minutes worth of paperwork without having to actually try to sell the vehicle.

Woe is you, the poor dealer making no money and saying selling them way above MSRP to other dealers for resale which according to you isn't hurting consumers.

Sorry, but anything other than MSRP is just dealer greed, no matter how much say it isn't. Program cost of 2k spread over your ten vehicles is $200 each, a rather small amount that barely touches your profit.

Is it dealer greed, or consumer greed? The biggest point you fail to realize is that no one is forced to buy anything. Everyone wants one, some want it more than others, and are willing to pay more than others to get it first. It’s really that simple. If you don’t want to pay an ADM, wait until the market dies down and get it. Or are you admitting your own greed (even though I don’t think for one second that you even plan to buy one)?

Yep.
