Now that I think of it, maybe raising the entrance cost way up. It might deter the trash from getting in. But then, you would be “punishing” the good poor people.

Locals already accuse them of this. The price of annual prices keeps going up. Locals scream "how can I afford this, this is BS!"

Well, the person with an annual pass spends close to nothing compared to a family from Europe who stays on property, eats on property, etc. You increase the annual pass price, less locals come, more folks there on vacation now have a shorter line time and everyone is happy....except locals.

First thought I had was how surprised I was by Disney's lack of quick response. I really can't believe that it took so long for security to come.

I was in Downtown Disney a few years back and witnessed a decent sized brawl break out with some "characters" in football jerseys outside of the ESPN Zone. The old gentleman in the straw hat (staff) could do nothing but look on helplessly while trying to radio for the real help. I didn't see anyone come within the first few minutes, and I was out of there.

Half of the issue is they aren't expecting any 'real' trouble, my best guess. Delayed reactions seem to be the norm when things get out of hand.

Scared of being sued or accused of racism.

who can possibly want to fight at the happiest place on earth??!!!
you'd probably want to fight after standing in line all g'damn day. I havent been to disneyland since 2012, but im certain the lines have gotten loooong.

There was a southpark episode about a line for the front of the line pass booth. LOL
