Let’s be honest here.... we all hated the C7 rear end when we first saw it too. Not sayin I love it now, but it has grown on me. I agree this looks terrible. First thing I thought was it looks like a old ZL1 rear end. You would think the cars design would start with a blank slate.. I guess they were worried it need to have some family resemblance. To bad it’s with the Camaro.
I STILL hate the C7 rear with a passion. It just hasn't grown on me. I see one occasionally in my locale, and it just doesn't grab me in the least. But that's just me. As far as the "new" look if the photo is legit, I'll hate the new Vette as well. Chevy designers are failing in execution, and failing to impress. JMO.
Just imagine the amount of money that was spent and that thing was the result. They must have grabbed some people off the street, gave them all a blunt and told them to design the new Vette.

I'm hoping it looks much better in person than what we're seeing here. I had high hopes for this car! I hated the C7 when it first came out, until I stood next to one. It really is a great looking car in person. Some cars just don't photograph well and need to be seen in person to really feel the depth and lines of the car. lets hope that's the case here.

I must be one of the few that actually liked the C7 rear from the get go. C8 on the other hand. Barf.

The widebody corvettes always look good to me. It's the base models, that we see first, that look....cheap/off/whatever. I didn't like the base C6 or C7, but the Z06 for both changed my mind completely.

I tend not to judge a car model by the base car. I usually judge based on top trim.

GM is in much better shape than Ford at the moment. I am sure there will be plenty of old guys in jean shorts and new balance shoes lining up around the block to buy these too.
I have never been a big fan of the anemic looking base models...the Z06, ZR, GS etc widebooty cars look much better and just right IMHO.
Still clearly has the DNA of past gen vette's, which isn't surprising. This will be the base car, so not holding out hopes for some ultra aggressive styling.
