Had a fun Saturday at Buttonwillow with American Muscle Cup. It was beastly hot, but the GT4 ran without a hitch and eventually it was the driver rather than the car which had heat soak :)

Enjoy!

Out of curiosity, does Ford provide service recommendations with the GT4? How many hours a can you expect to get from the drivetrain without a major refresh?

Thanks for sharing!!

That car is just flat out getting it done. I'm curious to hear your impressions of the car compared to some of the other cars you race. Obviously its no Ferrari but just curious how you like to having so many options.

Oh, I'd say it's a close match for a Ferrari 458 Challenge EVO. It's got more mechanical grip and a LOT more aero grip, but less power/weight. Depending on the circuit I expect it might be quicker in some and slower than others. It's also really friendly to drive.

The full GT3 cars are considerably faster, but then there's the GT mk2

Buttonwillow is a popular time trial track; it's pretty narrow and technical for wheel to wheel racing but it's great for single lap records. People build cars which basically last one hot lap, and go for records there.

Best time of year is winter when it's cold in the AM and cars make horsepower. In the summer it gets over 100F which slows everyone down a fair bit.
