A few weeks ago, I scooped up a Cervini Cobra R hood. I originally was just going to get the hood painted, but i decided to do the whole car so it would match better....and i had a few blemishes and bad spots to take care of.

Stripping it down

I decided to do some custom paintwork underneath the hood, so I got some templates made up and we layed them on top of some silver flake.

And covered it in black

Things were starting to snowball now....since we were repainting the car, I wanted to see if we could roll the rear fenders. I was originally running 335/30R20s on my custom widened forgestar F14s 20x11.75 rims. They fit, but they did rub occasionally and they did stick out from the fender about 1/8th inch. I was hoping to get just enough to cover the wheels, but it was going so well, we ended up flaring the rear quarters about 5/8" . After some reasearch and some calculations, I now had enough room to fit some 345/30R20s...which are about 3/8" wider than a 335....with a small wheel spacer.

Mounted on car and test fitting. this is a 3mm spacer(.118")....i ended up going with a 1/4" spacer

In the booth getting painted.
we did the black base coat with 2 coats of clear, wetsanded the whole car and did 2 more coats of clear.

Then began the polishing

I also had the headlights and fog lights lightly smoked

Final results I'm really happy with how it turned out

Great job!
Subtle flairs look good too.
Just need the tinted or ‘13-14 tail lights.

I agree the flares are subtle and look as though it could be a factory option but I'm not sure how I feel about them. The work of the paint job looks killer and overall looks amazing. Execution of rolling the fender is on point, I couldn't do this and it come out looking that nice. But something with the fender profile symmetry front to rear being gone is throwing me and going from curved to flat then back to curved seems to busy. Again the car looks amazing!

I Know what you are saying.......If i flared the front to match the rear, you probably wouldn't even notice them unless it was parked beside another car. I just dont have wide front tires and wheels right now and I thought it would look like the front wheels were too narrow.

I was thinking of ordering new custom 12" wide rims for the rear to eliminate the need for the spacer......I could apply what I learned with the rear to the front and order custom front width and offset that would compliment flares on the front.

Very nice! Do you have a shot from the rear only? Also, how did you smoke your headlights? Looks great, fantastic work!

I would definitely swap those rear lights out for the 13-14 tails. They look so much better than the stockers, especially on black cars.

Bad ass car, beautiful bodywork. well done sir.

In addition to 13-14 tails, consider 13-14 head lights too. You'll need a conversion harness, but 5.0 Motorsport on facebook makes conversion plug-n-play harnesses. Transforms the look of the car if you ask me.
