I don't know why but these videos elicit no response from me anymore. Clearly the dude was hopped up on something because he popped up like nothing after taking a few. It's sad the state of this country is falling into with drugs/mental illness

IMO you see here an example of why body cameras are both good and bad. Good because they leave no doubt that the officers did everything they could to avoid using deadly force. Bad, because I can't help think that the reason they waited so long (and allowed this guy to get entirely too close) was they knew that their video would be picked apart with a fine toothed comb.

Glad the officers are ok. As for the knife welding idiot, well **** him.

You never know what people are going through, wife could have left him because she got bored, took the kids, brainwashed them to thinking he’s a dirtbag, took all his money, and he just decided it wasn’t worth working the rest of his life to give 80% of his check to alimony payments.

This, had to wait for him to charge or put the general public in danger.

An officer shouldn't have to back pedal while using commands. It's a bad situation to be in but we knew the outcome from the start.

And thats a really sad fact. Cant win. I would never sign up to be a cop these days.

That was nuts how far and long they retreated. Glad to see they try to give the guy a chance but that dude wasn’t right.
Also, how the **** do they let the guy almost kill the first cop? He wasn’t ready and neither was his partner. Seemed like first cop was out of bullets and the other was fumbling with the taser?
If he still had a gun during that choke hold the first cop was dead
