I more so find it funny that zyborg says im 0% correct about it looking no different yet.... Ooooh special colors... I like the TRD offroad, they are inifite times better looking than the new ranger or colorado but cmon... I just think the pro is a joke when comparing options. And the resale thing... I dont know, the trail teams stuff is pretty cheap around here compared to what msrp was.

I'm not going to argue if the Pro is worth it or not but appearance wise they have different headlights, taillights, hood, grill, badges, colors, rims, exhaust and desert air intake if that's your thing.

Didn’t know that.

Yeah, I know cause I lost my sun glass holder because the crawl control goes where it usually does. Would probably use the sun glass holder more. Have a SxS for real offroad work.

The TRD Off-road is the best bang for buck from what Ive seen on TacomaWorld.

I’d love a TRD for a work truck. But 99.9 % of oil companies buy Chevy or ford

not at my post...
The 3.5 is a complete dog.

They no longer have an LSD option.

Styling is bleh, wind buffering with open windows is still awful.

So it has some tech and upgraded interior. Not worth trading in my 2005 and taking on $40k of payments.

That wind buffeting is no joke, was amazed the 1st time I experienced it, like WTF is up with this shit...

3.5 is a great engine. Makes about 30+ more RWHP that the 4.0 and only about 5 less RWTQ.

They have the auto LSD feature.

Styling looks great to me and many others, as it currently is America’s favorite mid-size truck.

Trading will depend on your specific situation. Maybe not worth it to you, but worth it to many.

You don’t have to pay $40k for new Taco.

Mine has a locker so don't care about the LSD. 3.5 is a little anemic on the low end but I think a lot of the has to do with the gearing. That doesn't make it worse though... Maybe not worth an upgrade to you but certainly not a worse truck.

Offroad has crawl control too.
I *thnk* the new 3.5 has port and direct injection. Its a pretty good engine. Besides timing cover leaks and water pump leaks, we havent had a problem with them Lexus side.

Care to explain how wheels and a badge make it look totally different?

Just read the specs on the pro over the offroad and spit out my coffee laughing my ass off.... Yea. Its a complete joke considering what people pay

If you are gonna argue an ignorant point, at least do your due diligence.

Your statement is the only joke, here.

Best resale in the business because of its cult following, toyota people are weird and its got nothing to do with the performance. A TRD pro really is a joke for the price.

Could say the same exact thing about other manufacturers and their vehicles.

TRD PRO is a joke to “YOU”. That’s an opinion.

Not anemic. It’s the tuning. Tuned for longevity and reliability. Toyota even now addresses the tune for those that complain of “anemia” down low. Guess they didn’t pay attention when they test drove the vehicle.

My stock tune 3rd gen crew cab 4x4 lifted and 33s has served me plenty well to take out a couple of cocky 2nd genners in the street.

Plenty of power on a stock truck for its intended purposes.

Do you know what “0%” is? Lol...

You said it, not me. You were/are dead wrong.

You must not be a car guy, to not notice the differences.

I have a 17’ TRD Off Road, great ****ing truck. Not 1 complaint and I beat my shit up!

The TRD Pro is the better truck, but TRD Off Road served my purposes better.

I am man enough to admit that. Had I had more disposable income, I would have bought me a Pro. I had other plans.

TacomaWorld as a site and their moderating team is a ****ING DISGRACE. They are the LGBT safe space out of the vehicle forums world.

Really?

I don't spend any time on there but never saw any drama. Some good LT build threads.

Yep... bunch of weak chinned, safe space seeking, cuck boy moderating team ruins the site. Definitely a group of hypocritical bitches.

A lot of faggotry runs rampant on that site and those other sites by the same owner.

Bro.... TW makes Camaro5 look like SVTP, if you can believe it. TW owner / team is on another level of cuck space.

OK OK you got me on that one lol. Ive been lurking over there lately looking at Tacomas. After being on the site for a while and sifting through all kinds of bad information i gave up.

I still like the Tacomas, but its just not big enough for me.

Kind of like the rest of Toyota's truck game. Weak AF. This, coming from a guy who bought a brand new TRD Tacoma in 2002 (me).

The last time Toyota's trucks were industry-leading was the early 2000's when the American trucks sucked.

That dynamic has completely 180'd.

If i had money to burn, id buy a ZR2 diesel Colorado in a second.

Wish I had one.... I got what I wanted out of the site (ideas for mods and some tech info) and peaced out.

Tacomas are great little trucks. Reliable, hard working, very capable and can be tons of fun.

A lot of flavors to choose from, just depends on the budget.

I have been wishing I had a bit more room myself. Maybe I’ll get into something else.

I like the ZR2, especially in diesel.

If you mean “weak AF” as in controlling the mid size market, then you are on point.

Tacomas do what they do very well. No other midsize truck offers the same level of reliability, capability and fun that the Tacos do.

ZR2 is valiant effort, but no dice.

Gladiator is now the new contender, tho.

Always thought the dakotas with the 5.9 were cool. "Bigger v8 in a little truck? Sweet"

Then I had the pleasure of meeting a green unmarked Dakota r/t LEO vehicle. Bed topper popped up and lit up like a space ship, ripped a tail slide and caught up to the Lightning rather quickly. Didn't like the dakota r/ts that much after that.

Wish ford had made that lightning bolt concept back in the day.

+1 on midsize trucks being as big as full size trucks from 90-00s

...and Maximus said to Commodus, "the time for honoring yourself will soon come to an end."
