Saw these on lethal performance and was wondering if anyone is running one of these on their blower. I have never heard of them myself.

FYI - Additional info from the manufacture. Interesting technology.

GripTec® micro

GripTec® Micro is a micro ablation machining process. Our micro machining capabilities are near limitless and we apply our technology to give the target component an engineered surface design that optimizes the safest most aggressive gripping force possible. Our multi directional machined ridges and valleys offer up more than just maximum gripping force they also act as escape ducts for trapped air and debris further helping in the mating of the target surface and belt. US Patent 9,421,637

Belt slip is a very common issue on supercharged components. In fact some units cranking out as much as 14-16 psi can take up to 200hp to drive. Often the drive systems are plagued with slippage issues and builders find themselves moving to noisy cog systems, where belts have shorter life spans, are difficult to find at just any parts store and they can create more heat through the frictional movement of the cogs.

Belt slip isn't always noticeable. Often belt slip is noticed when the system squeals, squeaks or boost falls off. Did you know that naturally the belt can slip a very small percentage even on NA vehicles, one major factor to belts wearing. Belt wrap does play a key factor in minimizing belt movement but when it comes to driving a supercharger is hard to fully eliminate with just surface contact. Systems running 3.4 upper pulleys can see as much as a 1.5 psi gain when matching size for size pulleys.

I thought about buying one but I just got my setup done. I have a 2.6 pulley and from what I could see they didn't offer a 2.6. I did have my pulley carbonite coated and so far I don't seem to have belt slip. Haven't driven the car enough yet though.

We have been selling a lot of these pulleys for all kinds of different set ups. We have not received much feedback on how people are liking them so far, but not had any complaints as of yet. We just received one for our car and hope to get it back to the track soon as we were having some belt slippage last outing. We will most likely do a write up once we get it on and get some results. Feel free to send me a message with any specific questions about the Griptec pulleys.

If you need a size you do not need listed let us know, they can most likely make one specific to what you need.

Do we get a forum member discount? I am really considering buying one of these for my 2.3 TVS.

They were about a week behind. Which the owner Andrew stated to me. Turn around was about 2weeks.
