This car is going to kick ass, an American midship under 100K! A report from Hagerty is estimating 60-70K for the base model (FWIW C&D est. 62K), of course the range topping models will be in excess of 100K...

I haven't been tracking the C8s, but in the video, it sounded like a DCT. I'd imagine that is common knowledge, but not sure....

Current MSRP is 56K and most are reporting at minimum a 5K increase on base MSRP. Hell even if it's 70K, that is a helluva bargain for a V8 mid-engine car.

It looks terrible. Long live the mighty C6 ZR1 with its shit interior.

Game changer for the U.S. manufacturer's


In terms of performance, I'd guess that the base model will slot just a little below the current Z06. For most drivers however, especially vs. a manual, the C8 will make them feel like a pro driver.

I agree on game changer. A mid engine Corvette slotting undeniably into the supercar class and coming in at under 100k will be an unbelievable feat. If this thing is as legit as we hope I would be really interested in one in the future.

There may be some commonality with some internals but they'll differ considerably.

Don’t car for the looks much. Sounds like a small V8. Was that ever confirmed or?

The back of that car looks hideous with the camo. I hope it looks better in person. I think the square exhaust tips are ruining it for me too. Reminds me of the Borla Catback's on F-Body's lol
