Funny thing is that the improved block, cast in brace, deeper threaded holes with longer studs into the block, has been sold by FRPP for some time. Beyond that, a beefier block in the GT350 is great if a power adder is in the future but it doesn't solve any problems that may currently exist. It was, as stated, a cost cutting measure achieved by commonality.
