The Base price is what I thought. I had said 69k. Actually its less from Ford, and the suggested price is 70k. So with Fees and D&D your at 73k. The Base car I optioned out with TO /w Blue Stripe, Tech Package, and Black Roof came out to be 77.1k. To much ? It's just a Mustang ? The same could be said of other cars.

The tech is there on the base. I think people are taking the word base to literally. The base will be a performer.

Says the guy that paid $100k for a car on a 15+ year old chassis, that's a one trick pony with one seat.

RedEye is like $85,000 loaded.

Look, this is now getting insane. It's still a Mustang. Add in dealer markups and then the real joke begins. I get it's an amazing performer, but the fit and finish of all of these high performance American cars is nowhere near that of german cars costing just as much.

I can't believe it's so much fully loaded!

The performance of German cars costing just as much is nowhere near that of these high performance American cars. But I get your point. After you reach a certain tax bracket, those niceties start to matter a lot. This or a new Cayman GT4? I'm halfway thinking I'd pony up the extra few grand for the Cayman GT4. That thing is crazy nice inside.

I can't wait to see what the Canadian MSRP would be for the car, as of right now if you do the straight conversion US$74000 is CAN$97850 and US$95000 is CAN$125,619.

Tony
Its never a direct representative of the US/CAN dollar luckily for us. Just look at the ranger/f150 prices, seems we get a better deal on the dollar than the US does

The new Cayman GT4 is seriously an incredible machine. So is the pre update one.

A Redeye is over 95K fully optioned. Nice try on the misinformation.

Honestly, the base price is probably fair for this car.

The carbon package seems like it took pricing from Porsche. A GT3 vs a GT3 RS.

I don't mind the CF Package pricing. The stripes are ridiculous though.

There is no way I would pay that much for a GT500. Also, 10k for painted stripes?! Considering how poor the fitment and paint is on these cars, that is a hard pass.

Maybe Ford plans on financing these cars to suckers for 96 months...

Agreed. $10k for painted stripes is absurd. Must be outsourcing it to Prefix.

The price came out about where I expected to, though I do think 10K for painted stripes is a bit much. I don't want the Carbon Fiber package as there is too much very expensive stuff in that. I figure mid 80s the way I would order it, were there a dealer willing to give a fair deal of no more than MSRP.
