Hello everyone. Its been a long time since the cobra gave me some trouble. I have been doing research on this but also wanted to put something out there for everyone while I read some more.

Basically, cobra stalled, wouldn't start. No pressure in fuel rail with just my key pressing in on schrader valve. Fuse is ok. I read about the relay in the fender as well, but couldn't get to it at the time. I let the ignition sit in the on position for a bit and it kind of sputter started for a rotation or two and died again.

Now, I don't know on this setup what this would indicate. I have a kenne bell boosta pump as well. From what I remember reading in the past, this would be and fpdm issue, and not the fuel pump itself. I'm also not quite sure what the conditions are when the boost a pump fails. It seems it wouldn't be the fuel pump relay as its getting a tiny bit but not much at all.

What direction do you guys think this is headed in? FPDM control issue for the fuel pump? Or could it be the fuel pump or boost a pump themselves?

Thank you for the help!

Sounds like you need to drop the tank and take a look at the fuel lines inside

No codes when it all happened... I haven't had time to run the codes since it has gotten towed back.

I'm going to start with everything I can before I have to drop that tank haha that's going to be a pain.

What about checking the fuel pump relay? I read something about it being in the passenger fenderwell somewhere. Anyone think that could be an issue or am I getting that all wrong?

I have some time to do some diagnosing today and I want to work from fuel pump connector back and check for voltage. Is the connector for the fuel pump that I need to test in the trunk, or underneath the trunk?

I read something about it being just above the bumper but not quite sure what that means.

I'm thinking it could be fpdm or ccrm....

Dropping the tank actually isn't bad, about 20-30 min once you've done it multiple times.

Yes, the connector is above the tank/under the trunk to feed 12v and confirm fuel supply

Thank you! You would just feed it power instead of testing the connector on harness?

I'd imagine you can't get to the connector without dropping the tank is why you're saying is not that bad haha.

Ok, so the fuse to the bap from the fpdm is roasted. I have a pic but don't have Dropbox anymore.

It is completely separated from the insulation when it comes right out of the fpdm connector. The red wire right after the fuse is also burned for the first 16th of an inch. Any idea why this may have happened?

I'm just going to replace the fuse wire with a new one and new fuse adapter. Any idea how to to pop the wire out of the back of the back of the connector? I'd imagine press down on something with a pick etc

The fuse is a 30 amp also, which from what I have seen is correct.

Got it out, just a piece of red plastic wedge in the middle of the connector. I have a pack of fuse harnesses but hell if I have those connectors that get crimped in the end and inserted in the connector housing. I'd imagine I can find one tomorrow or maybe have to go straight to Ford for them lol. Anyone have an idea for a part number or source?

just about that time. Oh and the inner belt hooray!

Anyone know where I could find the female connector for the end of the wire so I can slip it back into the connector? Old one can't be reused and I'm not sure if I need to go to Ford or a local electronics specialist...

yes thats on my list as well, would that cut power to the pump completely?

Yes. Only happened to me twice when I left the bap on full 50% and was switching from 93 to E85. I guess letting both pumps run at full blast for like 2 minutes to drain the tank caused the fuse to pop. Now I always turn the bap down to 0% when draining the tank and haven't had any issues with the fuse. It's never popped the fuse under normal driving or at WOT.
