To my understanding the only thing that was modified was the mounting brackets to allow room for the bigger compressors. Any T4 turbos will mount up

Then possibly they were not modified for the mirror image turbos and the build I was following was someone else. The one I followed had to have them modified because the positioning of the mirrored turbo is in a different location due to the turbine inlet being 180 degrees opposite of a traditional turbo in the same location.
Good luck with the sale. If I was going twin turbo still those are the very turbos I would be using due to my OCD for needing things to be symmetrical lol.
