Which one do you think will be worth more down the road? How many have you own or have owned both? Which one did you enjoy more? I understand what section I am posting in as I lean towards the terminator. However, I am considering a low mile lightning it it’s place.

I have both and there are both awesome. I live in a packed Ft Lauderdale, so I drive the Lightning daily cause its automatic, but you couldn't wrong with either and I believe the value of the Lightnings are going up because there aren't as many as the cobras, but who can predict the future.

I hope to join the "owns both" club soon, while I love my Terminator I can see myself driving the Lightning more.

I've owned 2 Lightnings ('99 & '00) and 3 '03/'04 Cobras and absolutely love them both. After we move I want to get another L, they are the most comfortable daily drivers I have ever owned while still being practical for truck stuff. Nothing much better than a pullied Lightning in 40 degree weather. I guess it depends on what you enjoy more, rowing gears in a car or sitting upright in a little (these days anyway) truck that can still scoot and carry/tow stuff.

I think overall you'll probably see terminators go for more (especially mystichrome and/or anniversary cars) but to really be up there in value theyre gonna have to be prestine, low mile units. It's hard to say one vs the other without knowing the intended use.

So the obvious answer is....both!

That's definitely a good combo.

My friend had an '03 HD F150 and it was a damn nice cruiser too. We added a fore hat, 2 gss342s, 80lb inj, 10lb pizza looking lower with factory upper, and E85.....that tank made 460 and ran 12.8s at 107. The blower was incredibly loud haha

if/when I get another all of my decisions will be made based upon maximum blower decibels. I only had a 6lb lower on mine the silencer holes were filled on my ported eaton and then had a magnum powers case w/ terminator rotors in it (coating was better and made for tighter tolerance than stripped lightning ones). I scared the shit out of so many people with the blower whine.

I would love to have both!!! However, with one kid done college and another one starting her third year and my goal of retiring at 60.... (8 yrs from now) it's just not in the cards unless I hit the lotto. That said, I'm definitely intrigued by the values of the L... they seem to have high asking prices on low mileage examples. Not sure if they are selling for asking though which could be a whole different discussion.

The reason I ask is I have the opportunity to trade my multi owner super clean 03 cobra convertible with 65k miles for a 1 owner 2000 bone stock lightning. I’m considering the lightning mainly because it’s an auto and wife absolutely refuses to learn a manual.

I want to keep the cobra but will want to auto swap it which is extremely expensive as I will have to pay for the labor. I know the lightning require much more cost to have 600whp versus the cobra...

Not sure what to do

Keep your car, the wife can drive something else. And the Cobra will be worth much more in the future. Although I probably will never sell mine.

I have both. While the cobra is my favorite, I drive the lightning a lot more and it's pick up bed is useful sometimes
