Hey guys just wanted to let you know about my experiences using Decipha for remote tuning.
Hands down been the best tuning experience to date better then even previous tune on dyno. Streetability of the car is incredible as close to stock as possible.
Background on the car is L&M built engine. Just over 9.1:1 compreasion ported heads comp "stage 3* cams whipple 2.9 w 3.25 pulley JLT RAI intake w/slot maf accufab sbtb. ARH headers 1 3/4 x 3" collectors ARH catted x pipe 3" Bassani 3" catback. McLeod RXT 26 spline and 4.10 gears in rear end.
Originally car was dyno tuned and made good power 730hp 605ft torque 17.5 psi on 93 fuel. But drivability under 2000 rpm was horrible car would buck and jump all over the place. So much I hated driving it. I was about to pull the engine send it back to Mike @ L&M to pull the cams and install less aggressive cams. After searching around the forums for awhile I seen that Decipha was putting in alot of feedback online forums so I reached out to him and explained what I had going on and he said that he could tune it and even with the cams have it running properly. So I went ahead and got a quaterhorse from moates and downloaded tuner pro software. Best part is I could have tried to tune it myself but let's be honest I don't know where to even start with that. I told Decipha what I had and he sent me a base tune to fire up the car and get some logs going for him to see after going back and forth with revisions and logs a few times the car is all dialed in now and running like champ!! Best experience ever my car is so enjoyable to drive now I love it all over again, I'll have this car forever now. Before whenever I heard someone saying they wanted to run cokp stage 3 came I would send them a message letting them know how horrible by drivability was and wished I had never gotten them installed, but now I have definately changed my mind on that one it's all in the tune and if you have a good tuner get them dont be shy.
And anyone looking to get a great tume and great experience tuning, Decipha is definitely a stand up guy and great to work with. He sends updates even on weekends he is always checking when you post logs and gets back to pretty quickly less then 24hrs sometimes just a few hrs. I've sent him logs at 6pm and had revised tune at 8pm same night. I give him in A+++++ !!
