Well this was it. Last time I'll race out here in cali. But man the car is working with so much more in it without upping boost.

On Friday I hit a test and tune to make sure the new suspension changes are working. And they are. Pulled the filter off the YSI and ran a turbo guard. Didn't actually do much as I still only saw 17psi. Converter was changed out and is working really good, still needs one more change to be perfect though. Wired in the two step on the Holley Dominator too, and messed with traction control a bit. Leaving at 4000rpm with more room to leave at all.

Setup is:
Built 10:1 engine, with custom cams and ported heads
FB 4R70 with lock up
Tons of suspension work
YSI with custom A/A on 17psi
MT Pro Bracket Radial.

I'm extremely happy with how the car performed. Huge thank to AED Racing and Drew Wallace for building this amazing machine. Huge thank to Shaun@AED for the help and dyno time and pointers. Couldn't be happier. Not a better shop on the West Coast or in my IMO the country. I can't wait to get to the south and show them whats up. :)

car is perfect bro. That is one hell of a pass
Thanks man, it felt insane. I need a 8.5 cage, and a chute though really bad. So that'll be next on my list. I'll pull the converter and send it out too. Dropping 1200rpm in between shifts when we want like 500rpm. That alone it'll go about a 8.9 or so. I think it has a 9.0 at 155 right now in it. I hit the lock up a little early and it was 80+ degrees outside lol DA was +1988

One of my favorite cars on this site! It's nice to see a big centrifugal car doing work in the land of turbos.

You'll probably be better off running an open volute or an air filter over the turbo guard. I've read that they can be more restrictive than they look. If you add up all the metal on it you're probably blocking 15-25% of the air intake

Yea I was collapsing the other filter. I think I’m going to switch to a KN and call it good I think. Probably don’t need a turbo guard and I’ll likely sell it.

That is crazy man. and those passes weren't even on high boost. Quick question. I saw you put in a FB 4r in there. Did you ever consider putting in a 6R?

Nope I haven’t. No need. If I need more I’ll go glide lol

I just always thought that the 6R would make the car a bit quicker than a 4R. But the 4R is still good. My buddy aj who had the comp orange 04 cobra had a FB 4R and his car was going mid 8's at 165mph.
