I tried this out today, and it worked really well. Didn’t even have to let all the air out of the tire. Of course, I would not recommend this for a drag radial, slick, or high-performance situation

Plugs are meant for a temporary fix and the best fix is the plug/patch combo that most shops do now. Walmart sells the kits for a couple dollars
I've used the kits in a pinch when I'm 100 miles or so from town. Next time I need to make a 20 minute video.

Unfortunately yes.
Well that's unfortunate, guess you just need to make more accounts.

I was gonna to try and plug a tire on my FiST today but unfortunately it was a razor blade that cut an inch and half gash right into the sidewall. My brother was borrowing the car and he has the worst luck with cars or anything mechanical for that matter, like running over a dead dear in the road with his Mustang or launching our jet ski off the only large exposed rock on the lake we lived on. Everyone knew it was there, he knew it was there... still hit it and cracked the hull as he launched it like he was Evel Knievel or something. Anyways he managed to get a very small and still flat piece of a blade stuck in the tire and it destroyed it. Even if it wasn't in the sidewall it wouldn't have likely been pach-worthy.

I called our tire company for a quote on a single Bridgestone Potenza RE050A in 205/40R17 expecting it to be $80 or $90, but no, my cost is still $192 mounted and balanced! I already told him I would handle it because I know it was an accident and he has a family to feed, but still. Thanks bro.

Dude that really sucks. My wife caught 2 screws at once in a tire last month. Discount Tire roadhazard it and i paid 30$ to get the road hazard for the new tire. I lucked out upgraded my tires since they didn’t have mine in stock

That kit at the top of the page is all we use at our shop. I did my first one yesterday and it took me maybe 3 minutes from start to finish. You can run on them for a while but you have to keep an eye on the tire the entire time it is in there.

I plugged plenty back in the day. One tire had 4 plugs in it at one time.
