Hello, I am sure there is already a forum out there like this. If so just point me to it. I have a 1999 cobra and am looking to go force induction down the road. I am wondering which route to go though. Eaton/ Whipple, Centrifugal, or Turbo. I would like to make around 600 rwhp down the road at some point. I am wondering which would be the best option/ cheapest. Mainly would be a drag car. Thanks!

Cheap is relative. I'd skip the eaton/whipple as you would need to first do the eaton swap then upgrade to the whipple. And the swaps are getting harder to find as parts are no longer being produced.

What's your skill level? If you go turbo you're going to eventually end up with a custom kit. Every kit I've seen installed ends up needing work in the end. So when I was looking at turbos I planned on going custom. But custom means money. And unless you can weld you'll have to rely on a shop which means even more money. Not to mention you need a tubular k member and the mods that go with it. But this might not matter as you're looking to go drag racing and probably have a tubular k member in mind already.

I'm a centri guy. I've ran Procharger and Vortech. I prefer the Procharger personally. Either one will get you to 600hp easily. A D1 will get you there with no issue. This would be the route I'd go. Fairly simple install. Easy enough to tune. Can make good power especially with good fuel.

This is the quick and dirty. You'll also need a built engine, fuel upgrades, suspension upgrades, etc.

600rwhp reliabily is gonna be a lot of coin. Full rebuild of the engine to take it, swap the IRS out with a built SRA or build the IRS with 03 axles, new trans, then the blower. Fuel system and suspension and if you factor in labor you are well over $20k. Not trying to be discouraging, just telling you what you are in for.

Cheap and 600rwhp don't go together. They just don't. If you want a turnkey drag car that is reliable and runs great times sell your car and finance a new 2019 automatic. Those run 10s with exhaust and tune and some slicks and that's it.
