Just scored a 03 bone stock redfire coupe - 1 owner and 20k miles - it will def cost you :)

Everyone that has seen it cannot believe the condition of paint and car overall - owner did not touch the motor at all.

Yup... This is the peak pricing right now also around Michigan.
I was looking for a lower mileage car when I made my buy last Summer, but I ultimately bought a 10th coupe with 77,000 miles on it. It was truly the "cleanest" one I looked at. Cleaner and nicer than multiple Terminators I drove with half the mileage. It was truly cared for and the two previous owners were both from SVTP.

I wouldn’t call this “peak pricing” as we will continue to see prices rise on the 03-04 Cobras. The low price point for these cars has come and gone. They are a good “modern” collectible Mustang.

I’m on my 3rd Mystichrome vert. I sold the previous 2 for more than I bought them for. They were both as spotless as I could make them though and went to 2 very happy new owners.

The 03-04 Cobras are an iconic car. Don’t wait for a good price. Buy one while you can.

I mean peak pricing for the year. Being that it's almost the middle of the Summer and all the big cruises are coming up here. If you wait until the Fall close to storage season prices will drop up here due to people not wanting to store the car again all Winter if they're not going to keep it long term.

Agree x10. I’d love to know what some of the well versed cobra guys on this forum think of the future value of these cars. Clearly there getting harder to find in even decent condition let alone “clean”. I myself see these as my generations (born in 90) boss 429.

I have been watching prices on Terminators with a focus on Mystichrome cars for the last handful of years. These cars have a cult-like following and are still coveted all these years later. I have seen the price low point and have witnessed a steady climb since. The modded cars get everyone excited and fuels the passion for these cars, but the low-mile pristine virgin examples command the top $. These cars have a few big pluses from a collector standpoint... 1. They were a complete shock when they hit the streets. Cool then/cool now! 2. They were only made for 2 years... the cars before them and after them were completely different. 3. There were specialty models available (a smaller sub-set within a small group to begin with). These specialty models being the 10th Anniversay cars and the Mystichrome examples, both of which are more than just a color.

Another thing I’ll point out from a collector viewpoint is the coupe vs. vert debate... many prefer coupes. I attribute this to the “boy racer” era of a car. Much like the 60s/70s muscle cars, coupes were desired for the latest performance machines. People wanted a fast car with the safety and rigidity of a roof over their heads. As the cars aged and were surpassed by much better performing and modern cars, it was the verts that rose to the top of desirability. The cars were no longer a boulevard bruiser. They transformed into a Sunday cruiser. I am convinced history will repeat itself and the verts will command the top dollar in the not too distant future.

I'm not in the market to sell mine but I do keep an eye on the market. 20 years from now a low build number may intrigue someone.

This kind of thought mentality is what made me buy a low mile CO coupe recently lol turns out its build number is #45 for the 2004 model year. congrats on having #2!

What are yall talking about... prices are dropping like a rock!

5 years ago it would take HUNDREDS of bitcoin to buy a nice car..

Now you can get something amazing for 2 or 3 btc.

I was going to buy a terminator back in 2013 but couldnt find the right now. It seemed around 2013, if I remember right, low 20s would buy you a really nice one. So 6 years later that has gone up to around 27-30k. I think that is great, even though Im a buyer again. Im willing to spend that much to find a nice one though.

This is definitely a peak time to sell, as demand is up at the start of summer. Prices will always be somewhat high, but here's my personal opinion. As the Terminator ages and miles acrue on many of them, prices will reflect the mileage and condition. Terminators that have been REALLY cared for, even with higher miles, will continue to fetch current day prices, maybe higher depending on the color and condition. Terminators with low mileage in exceptional condition will see prices rise. And as time passes, those prices will either continue to rise, stagnate, or drop depending on the mileage, condition, color, and state of modification. Generally a truly stock Terminator, or one with just exhaust mods, will fetch stronger money. Modded examples might be less depending on a number of factors including degree of modification, quality of mods, and how aggressively the car has been driven (ie. routinely raced). This is why I always encourage buyers to scour forum threads to get to know the owner and how the car was driven and cared for. A vast majority of Terminator owners take good care of their cars. JMO.

Good luck with the project Joe. I'm sure she'll be a beast once completed.

Jason.
Thanks J. I'm sure the "Saleen" part of it will rub some folks the wrong way but I'll take it on the chin and move on. My suggestion to them would be to please check back when completed and offer feedback then :) Me personally I've always loved the look of 99-04 Saleens. The powerplants.....not so much
