Were you being sarcastic when you said a gt500 will walk a Demon? Cuz im quite confused how thats going to be possible. To me, 840HP tune is oem. 840 tune with full width front and passenger seat im sure will slap the GT500 around from a dig or roll. Hell even with the 808 and not touching the crate I would think the Demon will be out front.

on the street anything can happen, but Demon guys out here like to do rolls for whatever reason.

Car's not set up for roll racing.....a good bit of its prowess on the strip is due to its suspension geometry off the hit.

ok so I'm lost.

Where did I say jack shit about a differential?

salt is strong with this one.

weird you tell me to look past the headline, because it literally says in the article

Event milestones included a world record-breaking pass at 10.34 ET in a stock Hellcat Redeye Widebody. Other event achievements include:

  • 48 Dodge Demons in total attendance (one as a show car)
  • 5 modified Demons in attendance
  • 42 stock Demons began the event
  • 37 stock Demons competed in Sunday laps
  • All 37 stock Demons achieved a 9 second time slip
  • Highest stock Demon MPH at the ¼ mile mark: 140.12 (exceeded Pritchett’s time slip)
  • 17 stock Demons ran within the 9.9 ET range
  • 13 stock Demons ran within the 9.8 ET range
  • 7 stock Demons ran within the 9.7 ET range
  • The quickest stock ET of the event was 9.71 sec.
  • Every car demonstrated wheel-lift at launch
  • Every driver gained a new personal best accomplishment
  • Every color of the Demon car produced was present

I followed the event as well (ask other people on this forum what I do for a living).

Yes cars broke.

Guess what happened to them after? :)

They were going into a headwind that averaged 24mph for the weekend.

:)

blinders. Only one going in circles is you bro.

We going in a straight line over here, in 9 seconds. With a warranty.

Again, that information is wrong if you go to the FB group and hellcat forums. Their use of the word stock is like the other 48 genders, they make that shit up. The stock ones, are the ones that broke
:)

This is something he and i agree on. The only advantage to the demon, in 840 mode, is hp. Weight gearing shifts heatsoak all favors gt500.
Rolls are usually a 100mph spread, so 50-150, 60-160 etc. Ove got a $500 bet stoxk gt500 walks past a 840 true oem demon.. not some e85 HHP tuned aftermarket everything "stock" demon

One seat drag car. Not a car for the street.

gutted?

We talking about the cobra jet?

Demon is FAR from stripped.

You can't really be saying 'no rear seat or trunk liner' is stripped, can you....?

I noticed that too. On the demon forums there’s more than one that says pulley/e85 and tune “stock” run...

And now I’m hearing weld wheels and slicks are oem stock? Hahahaha

Y’all clowns need to go back to the circus. You’ve been on this forum for years waiting for a 700+ horsepower stang while Dodge has been delivering beast after beast with no end in sight. Ford does not care about the enthusiast cars. That’s all Dodge cares about.

Look y’all keep missing the point. Ford is about to F you so hard when you try to get a carbon track edition of this car. Only 25% of the cars can be ordered that way? Wtf is that? Like saying only 25% of Demons get the drag suspension. Stupid.

How excited are you clowns to get your GT500s in the middle of winter? Enjoy that.

The Demon stock on 100 octane will not lose to the GT500 in a roll race. I can’t wait to see your faces when it goes down. But hey, first Ford has to actually let you buy the car.

Wonder if there will also be a twitter reveal on how many years delayed this car is? Or how many avatar cars does On D Bit not own? Or better yet, how many clowns think Ford has any strategy whatsoever with this car. It’s not the Demon you clowns should be worried about. The C8 is just gonna make this Shelby look dumb.

Considering rumors are it’s putting up numbers similar to the c7z06 I don’t think the base c8 will touch it. The c8z should however.

You’re right about dodge. When one wants a blown v8 they have done it right. However you want to drive a, you still need to buy a viper....

Ford 13 500 16 350R
GM ZR1 Z06
Porsche 991TS 991 GT3
Dodge Demon Viper

Damn I think all the main brands have kickass choices!

Ford marketing is bad? I'm so sick of Chevy commercials. They try ripping on the competition more than any other car manufacturer.

Oh BTW, "these are real people, not actors".

Preach it brother those commercials are trash. I love the zebra Conner ones he makes poking fun of them.

You’re a troll I’m no fan boy I’m an enthusiast and I bet from a dig the GT500 would lay waste to that Demon. Even with your colla popped trying to drive it.

The key thing here is it isnt just a pos that goes in a straight line, but also can do everything. Have fun driving that brick in a straight line. Such a boring life imo. Not to mention that there isnt a box with skinnies and slicks and a race gas tune involved in fords lineup. Add that to the gt500 and those numbers are easy considering the weight disparity. Not to mention how much better it looks inside and out. But keep telling yourself what you need to to sleep dodge fanboi.

Might be more interesting of a race than I thought, to be honest I thought you were nuts placing that bet but if im wrong im wrong.

yes, im not guaranteeing the 500 will win, but im willing to make the bet i did. If you look at the majority of Demon owners, and lets even give them the special "stock" race prep, ie seats removed, mirrors out, race fuele, big&littles etc, but still not pullied, aftermarket tune ect..

MOST of them, on their BEST runs, in the BEST conditions, are mid 130 trapping cars, we shall say 135, because its average again. Now that is absolute best, with plenty of cooldown, probably plenty of ice in their tanks, and exceptional DA

Now, I KNOW the GT500 will do at LEAST 132 on 93 octane, I know it, id bet that again with anyone. In addition to the advantages i listed before, you have to think about the race, 45-150 we shall say. and from a roll.. They have to get there, during that drive, demons is getting hotter and hotter, robbing some of those 8xx rwhp's.. if they want to warm the tires up, which they should, taking more hp.. if they dont, theyve got a lot of tq to overcome with stocky tires, either way its going against best interest. So that HP advantage, is getting smaller and smaller the longer this takes to happen. the gt500 only needs to overcome a what, 6mph difference.

Now the race itself, GT500, geared for that shit. demon.. geared for the 1/4, so once the cars get past 80-100, gearing advantage really takes over, where as the demon is on its downward curve from 100-140 we'll say, meaning its super hot, its super heavy, it wants the race to be over. Tthe 500 is just ramping up and ready to pull all the way to 180. thanks to, well, the car, coolers, rpm, dct, gears, aero, less weight etc etc.. I bet the walking past happens right there, just from a #s difference.. and then, lets throw some ms109 in the gt500.. you dont think there is a 20hp gain there as well, at least? That 6 mph difference to get ahead, was reduced to 3 on mechanics alone, and now down to 1 with good fuel. Which an already drivers race, just became a real drivers race.

I do roll racing for a side-living, you get 2 cars within 1 mph of eachother, its a consistancy and driver race, that aint a hp race..

I bet, if you WANTED to, you could gain 40hp from some c16, but your risking your plugs and 02s at that point ( again, this is all because stock tune gt500, easily swap to e85, but aftermarket tune needed)

if the demon isnt out 4-5 cars from the get-go of a roll race, its done before it starts.
if its any less than that, ive got kaneda's $ in the bank all day, and pays for my pulley tune injectors to really start raping demons when HP s equal

You think I'm roll racing on the road up to 180mph? GTFO. Dude, we are going to pull from 30-120mph and see what happens. I'll tell you right now what's going to happen with your 625 lb ft of Torque.

Also, you're logic is so damn flawed. You make it sound like launching a 760 hp stang will be easy peasy every time, yet the Dodge driver will struggle to put the power down. Again. All these cars are tricky as F to launch from a standstill. Ford is also getting their 3.5 to 60 number on a prepped track, not on the street.

I just laugh at people thinking Ford's car, which is down HUGE on power to the Demon, will in fact walk it from a roll. Um, sure. We'll see.

ford should sell a optional "drag pack" option for the GT500. A big box with bigs and littles, a 820hp tuner device for C16 race fuel and tools to remove the front and rear seats.

Then it will be a modded "bone stock" car that can actually run a 9.65. Watch those mopar heads explode then.
I could be on board to see that.0
