I don’t know if it’s the humidity here or what, but this stuff smeared like jelly and it’s still not off my truck. Bought 4 bottles so I’m going to try to get this off and give it another go after a wash. First impression not good.
Doing it wrong then. Not humid at all here where I live. 95% and 95*.

Figured something was up. Frustrated, but I’ll try again. Not like it will hurt the paint.
Revvv may be up to something. I think I did this my first application on the 500. It doesn't take much. Now, on the spray on and rinse applications, spray away.

I walk into the store to get some and drew a blank what I was looking for. I need to pick some up today to do my explorer this weekend.

Does it have to have a base coat of wax or can you spray it on an unwaxed car?

I use the H20 on my cars and really like it. However I have never compared it to another. It does have really good sheeting and it takes a while before it wears off the windshield. Just wondering, I may still pick up some of this stuff just to give it a try.

I haven't looked but I am guessing that Adam's is more expensive but I buy it in gallons.
I was thinking about trying the Turtle Wax Ice also.

Just got done sectioning off my hood, top center is control then Sonax BSD, The Last Coat, Megs Hybrid Ceramic then Collonite 845 going clockwise. Prep was a ONR wash, clay and polish with M205 on a LC white pad. *Edit* Wiped the hood down with straight IPA before application.

This Subaru FXT (Blue Quartz Pearl) is my DD and its parked outside at all times. From here on out it will be washed with plain blue ONR when needed. Will update as needed.

That’s is awesome!

I just did my daily. No wax cleaned with Meguiar’s Ultimate Wash and Wax and then did the Hybrid Ceramic Wax.

Observations from application so far only, everything was applied with its own seperate clean virgin yellow applicator sponge and buffed off with its own seperate clean MF towel. Everything was applied by hand, I cross hatched each section several times until I felt the product was spread evenly. I intentionally put the HCW and TLC on the lower part of the hood so when it rains it wont run over the BSD and 845 like a wet application and cross contaminate.

Collonite 845- Easy on, easy off with no streaks or issues. Been my standard base coat for 10 years or more. I love this stuff except for its lid.

Megs HCW- Easy on, ok off. I had to buff alot as it seemed streaky after I let it sit for approximately 3 minutes. Thought I got them all until I got into the sun, I definitely over applied with 3 spritzes on the applicator for a small section of hood. Paint appears darkest of all products. No water hose down to avoid cross contamination.

TLC- Easy on, easy off. I wouldnt say it flashed off completely on its own but it buffed out easily, I really just wiped the application site down vice buffing to be honest. Easier to use than 845 and that should say alot.

Sonax BSD- Annoying on, ok off. For those of you that dont know this stuff is super grabby. You go to apply and it feels like you wrapped your applicator in rubber bands, it does not go on smooth at all. Buffing it out is much better feeling but if "slickness" is what youre after I say look elsewhere like Bead Maker. I am currently using 1:3 BSD to water as a drying aid on the rest of the car and spraying it in wet panels is much easier to use.

*Edit*
I forgot how different Optimum no rinse is versus Duragloss rinsless with Aquawax. My mf wash mits stay practically spotless with DG but come out dirty as a MF'r with the ONR. Went back to blue ONR since it has no wax component to interfere with the test applications. I prefer the DG currently because it seems to lift dirt better but if the ONR plays better with longevity I may have to go back.
