Seriously cannot wait for this shit company to go under for good. Point Blank: You’re a total dumb**** if you buy this company’s product.

“General Motors Co. is trying to avoid recalling potentially deadly Takata air bag inflators in thousands of full-size pickup trucks and SUVs for the FOURTH straight year”

GM keeps trying to avoid recalling potentially deadly Takata air bag inflators

Well if they go under, that’s thousands of Americans put out of work. So I hope they stay around.

That said, here’s to hoping that the decision makers at GM get their heads out of their ass and do the right thing. I believe it’s called a cephalanalectomy.

Did they ever pay back our money to the gubment? I didn't think so.
I used to drive GM vehicles for a long time just because I liked their big sedans, Olds, Buricks, and Caddies, but after the last govt bailout I decided that Ford was about the only one who should still be in business, and now I have a blue oval tattooed on my pasty white ass.

...Metaphorically speaking

I was wondering why I've never seen a recall on our Suburban.

Anyway, GM may actually have a good point, if the design for the implementation of the Takata units their vehicles actually does prevent the failure, but the evidence GM presents isn't that it won't happen, but rather that it would be a longer time before the inflators in their vehicles would be affected.

With that said, their argument is still moot. A delayed time in which the inflators could explode is not equivalent to that it won't happen and therefore they should have to roll out the recall as the other manufacturers.

I will never ever in a million years understand this mentality. Do you honestly believe they'd be permanently out of work?

There are probably thousands of people who lose their job working at a small business every day. Do you worry about the impact that has?

Same. I'll probably never own another GM. Just the principle.

Shit will never change until you remove the damn UAW.

Id be happy to see the resources and workers that go into GM products get transferred to Ford, Chrysler and Toyota.

They can work for a company that gives a **** enough to keep their entire client base from taking dirt naps-like say, EVERY other car company that is actively trying or has already replaced the faulty parts.

It isnt the least bit shocking that GM would be the only ones trying to squirm out of this shit.

**** them. They’ll never get a penny from me again. I sincerely hope this helps collapse that garbage company.

NHTSA actually tried to suggest that mfg's including Toyota/Lexus werent doing enough to get these faulty inflators replaced. We found out because our Shop foremans were told that Toyota was asked to impress upon the technicians that its on them to get them in and out....

Bitch, Ill literally do every inflator that comes into the shop. These are 100% money makers for us.

I dont know how many recall notices Toyota puts out, but its a lot. Ford is absolutely bonkers about it. They sent me a CHRISTMAS CARD wishing me happy holidays and ps you have an inflator recall due on your Mustang. That was in addition to the weekly notice about the recall.

Bwahaha, I made an appointment the next day. That was crafty.

Here, GM doesnt give a **** except its bottom line. So catastrophically failing ignition cylinders and now a UNIVERSALLY KNOW ISSUE WITH TAKATA airbags, and these ****s dont feel the need to act?

**** GM.

Well I don’t have a million years to explain myself. Not real interested either. The idea that “thousands of people lose their jobs every day” has very little to do with my comment. If you can’t understand why I wanna keep Americans in jobs, I don’t know what to tell ya.

That’s fine that you don’t get it or don’t agree with me. Perks of living where we do. You have your opinions and I have mine. I also didn’t mention anything about being out of work permanently. I just don’t wanna see a lot of good hard working people lose their jobs.

It’s the decision makers up top that many seem to take issue with. It’s not like the worker bees are given any choice. They do what they’re told. And being out of work is tougher on those worker bees than some VP of whatever division.

Of course, none of this is a problem for SVTP ballers. “Around here we don’t get fired, we do the firing...”
