Mine shafts? Like MIR or Atco in the late fall? Oddly thats where i live and yet to see a "stock", hell, even lightly modded Demon crack 9s.. but what do i know.. (other than the few retarded locals foolish enough to buy Demons and think they're going to wreck 15x-16x mph streetcars running around here )

I’ve seen waaaaaaaaaay more high 10/low 11 127-134 passes than the handful of 9.65, 9.8, 9.9 137-140 passes.

I know of 3 sub 10’s.

Gt500 has the same trans and 130 more hp. Weight sucks still I’m saying a gt500 will hang with a demon from a dog on the street because 625tq on a 7500rpm engine with a wide spread dct and 4200lbs with sticky 315’s is easier to plant than 800tq on a 6500rpm short spread 8 speed. It’s math and physics.

I think the gt500 will be hard to screw up launching on the street.

When the light goes green, floor the gas peddle from idle.

In a demon you can’t do that with any success even on slicks

ford should sell a optional "drag pack" option for the GT500. A big box with bigs and littles, a 820hp tuner device for C16 race fuel and tools to remove the front and rear seats.

Then it will be a modded "bone stock" car that can actually run a 9.65. Watch those mopar heads explode then.

Ford already sells a 1/4 mile focused Mustang that runs mid 8s completely stock...

Who in the world wants to drive the gutted one seat slicks and skinnies demon on the highway let alone back roads anyway?

When the demon is street ready it’s a mid 10 sec car all day long.

Sounds slow. Would not want...

Said it before and I’ll say it again....

If ford had manufactured the demon, it would be the greatest thing...

Some of you guys really should take the blinders off. There’s badass cars that belong to other brands.
Havent full width fronts/full interior Demons run 10.2 on the 808 tune?

To me marketing an gutted one seat oem vehicle with slicks and skinnies as a street car was completely wrong and misleading.

If dodge has said it will run 10.1 in street trim(full interior, 4 full size tires) I’d be all in.

if true, someone should post up. I cant find any evidence of this after an exhaustive search. Most official test with demons in full street trim were mid-high 10s.

gutted?

We talking about the cobra jet?

Demon is FAR from stripped.

You can't really be saying 'no rear seat or trunk liner' is stripped, can you....?

as for ease of DCT launches, street or track, its going to come down to adjustability. I hope its solid, but fear that is what will hold it back, on street tires anyway.

From a roll, rpms gears and shifting is going to give the 500 the advantage vs a demon, even on their 840 tune.

didnt that car, and the closest cars have ,much more than that removed? side mirrors, front passenger seats, stereo equipment?
The demons crate, does that come wilth street legal radials, or slicks? I genuinely dont know. What about the front skinnys, also street legal tires? Just curious if in fact everything is street legal in those configurations, or they are doing mental gymnastics again

The difference is the gymnastics, Ford owners wouldnt be claiming stock and street legal when its not

Sounds like you need to look past the headlines. I followed that event closely, which is how I know the rear diffs on multiple stock cars broke that weekend. Only the warranty voided rear diffs held, and even then, not on OEM , and i mean crate OEM rear wheels and tires. They went to weld wheels and full slicks, which last i recall ( before posting this) is not street legal

So in circles we go.. the car is a lemon. It cannot do near what Dodge claims.

Please continue the contorting of words to justify a not street legal nor oem 9 sec car, as claimed

ok so I'm lost.

Where did I say jack shit about a differential?

salt is strong with this one.

weird you tell me to look past the headline, because it literally says in the article

Event milestones included a world record-breaking pass at 10.34 ET in a stock Hellcat Redeye Widebody. Other event achievements include:

  • 48 Dodge Demons in total attendance (one as a show car)
  • 5 modified Demons in attendance
  • 42 stock Demons began the event
  • 37 stock Demons competed in Sunday laps
  • All 37 stock Demons achieved a 9 second time slip
  • Highest stock Demon MPH at the ¼ mile mark: 140.12 (exceeded Pritchett’s time slip)
  • 17 stock Demons ran within the 9.9 ET range
  • 13 stock Demons ran within the 9.8 ET range
  • 7 stock Demons ran within the 9.7 ET range
  • The quickest stock ET of the event was 9.71 sec.
  • Every car demonstrated wheel-lift at launch
  • Every driver gained a new personal best accomplishment
  • Every color of the Demon car produced was present

I followed the event as well (ask other people on this forum what I do for a living).

Yes cars broke.

Guess what happened to them after? :)

They were going into a headwind that averaged 24mph for the weekend.

:)

blinders. Only one going in circles is you bro.

We going in a straight line over here, in 9 seconds. With a warranty.

Were you being sarcastic when you said a gt500 will walk a Demon? Cuz im quite confused how thats going to be possible. To me, 840HP tune is oem. 840 tune with full width front and passenger seat im sure will slap the GT500 around from a dig or roll. Hell even with the 808 and not touching the crate I would think the Demon will be out front. Or am I high?
