That's great! Mine has been built and sitting for five weeks today - maybe I'll call my dealer Monday and see if they can work the same deal!
It is sometimes difficult because many dealers only get a few allocations and when they get the car, sometimes they tack on an ADM to boot, so they can be reluctant to trade it away. I was lucky that the owner of my dealership knew the owner of the other and was able to do an MSRP agreement which meant I had no additional cost. I'm just glad I've been friends with my dealer for 35 years. That friendship paid off in spades when it came to ordering my past and current Shelby automobiles. That said, ask your dealer if he can reach out and find you a car. If you don't swing the bat, you'll never get a hit. Good luck!

read the award below, no its not a one off case, no they didn't fix the problem in 2019. Buyer beware, these cars go through the oil, and will need motors as early as 300km as in my case. read below, share with friends. $53,000 in repairs on a $70K (cad) is not ok. Ford... your hiding the problem, may as well come out of the closet, better than 10,000 angry Shelby customers kicking down your repair door

In the matter of an Arbitration pursuant to the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan

(“CAMVAP”)

Between:

LUCKY ###### (“Consumer(s)”)

-and-

FORD MOTOR COMPANY OF CANADA, LIMITED

(“Manufacturer”)

Final Award

Appearances:

For the Consumer: Lucky ######

For the Manufacturer: Myron Petriw

Arbitrator: Kent Woodruff

Hearing Date(s): February 8, 2019

Hearing Location: Prince George, BC

Award Date: February 15, 2019

Vehicle Details:

VIN: 1FA6P8JZ0G55##### (the “Vehicle”)

Make and Model: 2016 Ford Shelby GT350

In Service Date: June 20, 2016

Date of Purchase: May 5, 2017

Kilometres at Hearing: 37,879 Krns

The Consumer asked for:

A buy-back without a reduction for use due to ongoing mechanical issues which have not

been resolved and began from the first 300 kilometres that the Vehicle was driven or

alternatively a buy-back with a reduction for use

Consumer takes this position because the engine was completely removed and replaced twice

and now the Manufacturer’s Repair Dealer has been unable to diagnose the further loss of

engine oil and starting problems..

The Manufacturer asked for:

An order dismissing the Consumer’s claim

Manufacturer takes this position because;

I. the Vehicle is still under warranty

ii. The Manufacturer denies any liability for the failure to replace the oil cap which

resulted in oil loss.

2 of5

iii. The Manufacturer’s Representative submits that the Consumer did not check the

oil at time intervals suggested by the Manufacturer for this high performance

engine that uses oil in its operation.

There is no dispute between the Consumer and the Manufacturer on the following matters:

1. The warranties are still in force

2. The Manufacturer replaced two engines and in fact spent $53,000 on warranty work

on this Vehicle

3. Due to a change in ownership the Consumer did not receive an information bulletin

from the Manufacturer that addressed:

a- Tightening the oil filter assembly to 16-18 foot pounds using a special cap

wrench which they provided with the bulletin

b. Their recommendation to check the oil level at every reffieling as during

operation under certain conditions ( high engine speeds, high loads, engine

braking, hard cornering and track use) oil consumption of approximately I

litre per 800 kilometre is possible.

Conclusion:

For all of these reasons, I find in favour of the Consumer in this case.

Order:

I now order as follows:

The Manufacturer shall buy - back the Vehicle at a price of $57,532.49. The buy-back

shall take place in accordance with section 6.1.5 of the Agreement for Arbitration and

I shall remain responsible for case until the buy - back is completed.

I personally think the stripes detract from the lines of the car but obviously it’s sexy either way. Appreciate the kind words. The kids love it!

Can't wait to see new colors for the 2020 GT350 in person. There's one to replace the Ruby Red, I believe. I'm partial to metallics.....

I think it all depends on the color. Some colors look good with no stripes and some need them I think. Either way all gt350s look good with all color stripe / stripe delete / black roof options. I honestly don’t think there is a bad looking combo. Such a good looking car. Pics don’t do these things justice either! Mine came white blue stripes over top and I had the roof wrapped gloss black. My personal favorite combo. (Biased of course) I’ve debated ripping off the blue stripes but can’t find myself doing it. The the tri color combo is soo good looking, the black roof go so well with the black spoiler rear panel and mirrors. Then the blue stripes add the touch with black outline pinstripe.

Best looking modern mustang ever. And better looking than the new 500 in my opinion, yes I have seen it in person too.

The front clip of the GT350 is so much more clean and beautiful than the catfish maw of the new GT500. Still can't wrap my head around that decision by Ford. The phrase "what were they thinking?" comes to mind. Mine is classical white with the blue stripes. Just love looking at it!
