I’m guessing 760hp.

Power dense means hp/l in my opinion.

Zr1 is 755hp 6.2L+2.65L so 93.0hp/L

Demon is 840hp, 6.2+2.7L so 94.4hp\L

I think 760hp. 738hp would mean 94.0hp/L

So by that, 750hp or 760 or 780 or 790 but knowing the alleged insider banter leaks say 740 was hard I’m guessing 750. Gut hunch is 760hp though.

I’ll say 760hp for 2 reasons.
1. Beat Chevy on paper
2. The speedo on the gt press image showed 4 55 and the car ended up at 460hp. The gt500 showed 7 55 so 760 could make sense.

760 is roughly 650 whp, give or take/depending on DT loss %, but even at 4200lbs w/driver, thats a solid 10.8/132mph car.. not a bad starting point

I bet it puts down more than 650 to the wheel at 760 hp.
cf drive shaft and dct should be close to 690, especially the TP with carbon rims.
the torque is lower than I thought it would be at 625.

I was wrong, those tricky bastards!

Decent numbers though! I'm surprised the TQ is that low, I wonder how "artificially" restricted it is.

They may have went for a lower torque number to help that car exit corners smoother, is that something they can tune or is tq an automatic byproduct of HP/rpm or?

They most likely traded torque for hp by extending the rev range. Squeezing 760 hp out of a 5.2 means the engine is closer to the limits where you can get reliability from the engine. Turning the wick up in any appreciable way in this engine will have you writing big checks if something goes wrong

I guessed/hoped for 780. 760 still is nothing to be ashamed of. Wonder if they will up it like they did with the 2013. Announced 650 then when final numbwrs came in it was 662.

They said specifically that they were not going to do that. That the numbers would be announced once finalized.

Did Ford upgrade the rotating assembly on the 2020. forged rods, billet crank sprocket and other components needed to support higher HP?

I sure hope so and expect that to be the case, given how just the 5.0 motor can handle boost the way it does. I say they built it to at least 1k hp or more. We will see soon when all the specs come out.
