Hey guys. What do you think this is worth nowadays? One of my friends has had it for almost 20 years and it was restored then but pretty much been sitting since. It’s solid but the paint isn’t the best as you can see. The interior is also shot but he says it wouldn’t take much to get it driving. He won’t take a lowball offer so I’m just wondering what a fair price would be. Thanks

Need a lot more than just 2 pictures to base a value on a car. Interior, engine bay, and underneath shots would help to accurately price the value of the car.

I don’t have those. I can stop by sometime and get them. I was just looking for a general ballpark.

Need more than two pics. That said I love Capris but it would be worth way more to me if it was an 85-86 ASC McLaren Capri.

I’ll try and get some more. I’m considering it solid but needing paint and interior but running. I just didn’t know if a capri like this is worth closer to 1k or 3k. I don’t know how they compare to a fox mustang. I’ll work on it. Thanks

The hatch is from a Mustang - not a Capri.

I don’t recall that color being available on Capri’s.

Who knows what else has been swapped. Need a lot more details.

Location tends to play a role as well.

Up here in the northeast, Fox's have long since rotted and rusted away and what's left tend to be garage queens, or cars that should be junked. The rare car in the middle (decent clean driver) tend to see for $1-2K more than what I would see in the south, or west coast.

I bought an 84 5.0 5 speed Capri in similar condition about 10 years ago and paid 1200 for it. Kind of a dated comp, but better than nothing. I didn’t feel like I got a screaming deal; felt like it was fair for both parties. Basically I paid the part-out value of the car.

Since that one isn’t running, that’s what I’d give for it...part out value...maybe a couple hundred more if it’s not all rotted out.

I’m working on him still. It’s been sitting awhile. It will get gutted if I ever get it and will keep me busy during the winter.
