I went to the track last night and ran my personal new best time of 9.65 at 153mph. The weather was great and the track was hooking. Here is the time slip.

UPDATE: PERSONAL BEST 1/8 MILE TIME OF 6.19 @ 117.68

Here is a video of the run, but they did not show a time.

I have a UPR anti roll on it now, but I had it disconnected for that run. I have been battling suspension issue for the last couple of months. I thought it was the anti roll putting the suspension in bind, but it was my tune-up. I was way to aggressive out of the hole and blowing the tires off. I will reconnect the ARB next time I go to the track.

Yeah, it's either go full slick or come out softer on a stick car. Guy I know had been 10.1x a handful of times on a "street" bias ply and someone let him use their slicks. He went 9.85 with a 1.39 60'. He is an 850 wheel 4V turbo car. He was rather happy after that pass.

Thank you. I am glade that we are getting a handle on the tune up. Turbo stick shift cars can be a big pain in the butt to leave. It has either to much boost and it blows the tires off or not enough boost and then just bogs. It is a fine line.

man awesome run I dont know how you do it I had a turbo fox with a tko600 in it and with the stick in the car I hated it. at the same time I had another fox with a kenne bell on it, loved the kenne bell car. Ive 67 mustangs the cobra I have now is number 67 back in 2001 2002 muscle mustang and fast for did a build on a for and it was called project pro 5.0 and after the car was redone from the ground up was a white car with an american flag racing stripe and had a 347 with a d1sc procharger the magazine gave the car away and an attorney in the town I live in and he never drove it so I stopped at his house one day and asked if he still had it and he did and if he would sell it he said he would I asked how much and he said I would start talking at 10k, I said how about 8500 and he said ok. So I bought it and had it a couple years and the procharger was awesome until I popped a head gasket and didnt feel like fixing it, I put it on ebay and sold it with a buy it now of 9k or 9500. I wish I could find the car again it stood out almost as much as my cobra the cobra stands out because of the color and the fact there arent any more in the town I live in.

It was a real pain the in butt. The car worked pretty well on low boost, but when I turned the boost up it keep knocking the tires off. What help the most was setting up the boost by gear. I can now start to apply power more effectively.

That seems to be the best way to do it. All of the 8 second stick turbo guys seem to be doing it that way too.

with turbos and a auto the sky is the limit after you put the auto in and get the suspension set up there is a reason all the big names run 400s or glide you cant outshift an auto car.
