Looking to use one of my OEM rims (18x9.5) as a spare with a radial (non-directional). On the size I was told by discount that to use the spare on all 4 corners it should match the size of the front which is 255/45Z/R18. The rear currently has 295/40Z/R18 & tires are Nitto NT555 G2.

Just wanted to confirm that this would work on all corners or if there is anything else I should consider?

Thanks,
Ray

A 18x9.5 inch rim WON"T fit in the well. The minimum size tire that is recommenced on the 9.5 just so happens to be the same tire as we have factory on the front. (The maximum width for the 18x9.5 we have on the rear just happens to be the widest tire recommended.) Try for yourself to get it into the trunk. The mini-spare that will fit into the well won't clear the front Brembo brake calipers. I went through this a number of years ago. However, I found the PERFECT answer. I had a 9.5 narrowed by Eric Vaughn in SOCAL to 6 inches. Then I put a Goodyear P225/50R18 tire on it and same diameter fits PERFECT in the trunk and since it is T rated as I recall you can still go 100MPH on your spare if you really have to.

It just so happens I have an extra wheel I had narrowed by Eric I'll sell for what I have in it. If you are interested shoot me a PM.

Would love to see a couple of pics with the spare tossed in the trunk space/wheel well. Plus, kinda want to see what you did with the carpeted particle-board.
Been thinking about adding a "spare" to my GT500 for some time.....

2007-2019 Ford Mustang GT Performance Package Spare Tire Kit

This what I use. Clears all BBK including 15" rotors.

Definitely got my attention, but he mentioned staying close to tire diameters as not to mess-up the torsen differential.... Could you take a look at yours & grab the tire size [xxx/xxR19] for me, thanks!

Did you use those tools with the Automotive Authority's just wheel and tire kit? Their kit is 499 for 07-14 cars and comes with Spare Tire, Jack Assembly, & Lug Wrench. Assuming it doesn't contain all the other parts you listed?

I'm not using any kit @ this time. @Totalpkg shows he's using this kit (post #7). Actually, the parts list came from a forum post that I updated with new part #'s & pricing.

Forum Link post #18.

It appears I already have some of the parts fastening the fixer flat kit. I would assume all 07-09 have this as well...

There is a reference on the above link for a rim p/n - 4R3Z-1007-LA that may work? Tasca & AutoNation show discontinued, however FordPartsGiant show available...link

How do the 295/40 Nittos 555 G2 hook up with your current mods?

They hook up real well, but I'm @ altitude like you. So we loose about 15-20% HP/TQ @ this elevation. Someone at sea level with comparable mods may not think the same. The ride is good as well but I haven't put many miles on the tires.

Cheers,
Ray
