Hey guys, I am on a hunch for these front lower control arms and found some on craigslist new for $150.

What should I be looking for to insure they’re legit 03 Cobra control arms?

I really hate buying on CL but if someone knows of elsewhere to buy them please let me know.

Thanks.

Not worth banging your head into a wall over. Regular ones are fine minus a little turning radius, you can get them brand new with new bushings and balljoints for $80 each on Amazon. Or pony up and get the BMRs.

or use your arms and get gw delulum bushings. they shift the arms forward 1/4" at the least. It is really more like 3/8" -1/2."

I'd like to see them too. I need to overhaul my front suspension like 3 years ago and its squeaking like crazy. Plan is to do the BMRs with the "X2" style tall balljoints, UPR K and new endlinks. Not sure if I need a bumpsteer kit with those balljoints and not a ton of drop.

My bumpsteer is bad (I measured it) and I plan on X2 ball joints along with GW bushings (already have them), MM bumpsteer kit (already have it), and MM rack bushings (already have them) using the OE control arms. I wanted to maintain a more stock look, but I think if I were to do it again, I'd get the BMRs with the extended ball joint.

All that you are putting in is what I already have.
It is a good setup and your are shifting your wheels forward, which is another good thing.
I do have to modify my left front wheel liner around the battery holder, as the wheels are forward enough to get some rubbing on the liner on tight turns. And I am running 245s; so the GW bushings are moving those arms forward pretty good. Get the proforged extended ball joints with the spring spacers...i just replaced my steeda x2 with them. Imo The steedas didnt last as long as they should have.

I do like the look and weight of the BMR arms though.

Thanks shurur. I'm assuming your talking about P/N 101-10432. I didn't know about these until your post. I was also looking at the QA1 extended ball joint as they are rebuildable, but I've seen mixed reviews on them.

The steedas lasted 5 years and very few real miles..I expected more than that..

If I had watched the boots more, then they might have lasted longer.
but the joint was no where near dry or contaminated.
Energy suspension sells tougher boots..I think they would work.

yup those are the ones ..I used the OrionMotorTech HD Ball Joint press kit for ~$50.
You have to let the extended ball joint end go up into the threaded end a few threads of the C-clamp to remove an extended Ball joint..and use the cup that is large enough to let the ball joint pass though enough to let it go into the unthreaded end of the C-clamp to install the extended ball joints...but it works.

waking up a dead post!

Did you run into any issues with the BMR arms during install? Hopefully no cutting or grinding... I always question "easy and direct bolt on".
Hows the ride quality, any NVH?
I havent seen many reviews on these yet and very interested.
