So I'm clear on Return wiring

So I'm getting ready to install my return setup and just want to make sure I'm clear on the wiring. I have a fore level 2 kit and I want it to prime just like normal using the FPDM. So I followed this thread but just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly.

So I have FC2 controller. Wire the pumps in to Pump 1 and 2 locations. Battery and chassis ground are easy. Based off this pic below I'd run Pin 10 to the remote on the FC2 and then what about Pin 3? Says ground but not chassis ground? Does it go like this pic to the FC2?

I know this says pin 9 ignore it. I stole the pic from another thread.

No that will not work.

You are correct in using pin 3/10 for pump one. Pin 3 is the switching/triggering side. How this works on the Fore unit is beyond me as I only see a place for one trigger. Like you cant stage the pumps.

I used two 40a pico relays. 7$ each.

Pin 10 is pump power and if you go downstream from the fpdm you’ll see it splits in two about 6” post FPDM.

I see two issues with that controller. Can’t stage two pumps separately.

Guessing that it expects a “hot” trigger for the pump, not a ground. Could be wrong

So after doing a little research this is how I wired it up. Thanks to Malcolm and cj428mach for helping. I haven't gotten the car all back together to test yet but this is how I ran the wires.

Bought a Pico relay.

Pin 10 (BN/PK) went to terminal 86 on the relay
Pin 3 (RD/BK) went to terminal 85 on the relay
Terminal 87 on relay went to FC2 trigger
DG/YE (can't remember pin #) goes to terminal 30 on the relay

I'm still having issues with this. Got everything back together, spliced into these wires on the FPDM, ran power from FC2 to battery, grounded it to the metal that the FPDM is bolted to. But when I turn the key on they aren't priming and my gas gauge isn't working at all.

I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I tried wiring it up with the hot wire from the FPDM to the FC2 trigger and nothing. Tested voltage and at the FC2 pos and neg I get voltage. Move to the pump connections on the FC2 and I get no voltage at all.

EDIT: I ran a wire directly from the FC2 trigger to the positive battery terminal and the pumps kicked on. So I at least know they work and the FC2 is good.
