It is diluted everytime you spray it on a wet panel.

I guess what I mean to say is; has anyone mixed it with water into a bigger spray bottle and still got good results. For instance, I saw somewhere that guys were mixing it at a 7:1 ratio in a bigger spray bottle.

I reached out to Meguiar's Global Project Manager and he said that they are producing a new bottle that shouldn't leak anymore. I read on Autogeek about people diluting the HCW to 1:7 and since I had almost none left, I mixed what i had with water in a Home Depot spray bottle. I have no idea on the ratio, but it's still blue! We'll see what happens when I clean the wife's ride next time. Heck, may even clean the mower up.

How'd this turn out?

I ended doing a couple test spots on the door of my car and half the hood of her car. It went on and off rather nicely with no streaking (my car is black, her's is white). It was raining a few days ago and the half the hood I sprayed on her car, the water was rolling right off and looked nearly dry when driving. Yesterday, I had a tiny bit of Blackfire Crystal Seal left that I mixed into the bottle for fun and did the rear of her car. Going forward, it's no longer a legit Meg's only mix. I did however get my replacement bottle and will dilute that after I do a full strength base coat on her car.

Sounds like it still works good diluted, Thanks for the reply!

I took advantage of the Advance Auto sale and bought some online for local pickup for $11.24.

When I got there, my local Advance was running a "buy one, get one 50% off" sale on them, so I got the second for $7.49 (1/2 of the original price 14.99 price).

I recently bought the Turtle Wax Jet Black polish for my black S197. I'm going to use it first, then top off with this Meguiar's spray and see how it turns out.

I'm looking forward to the results.

Surprise, surprise, Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine wins a comparo against Meguires and Mothers SiO2 products, hands down, all for about $7 a bottle. Whoda thunk it.

Water sheeting and beading are very different properties imho. I havent used the Turtle Wax stuff yet but I have been watching and reading everything I can find on it, will test in the future. Next few weeks Im gonna section my hood off and run a test with Collonite 845, Sonax BSD, Megs Ceramic and The Last Coat. Im nowhere near what you would call a professional detailer, its just a hobby for me and I enjoy keeping cars looking their best.

One thing I have never seen sheeting do that I have with beading is self clean with the high contact angles that ceramics generate. Use to think it was one of those gimmick terms used to sell stuff but it really isnt. Nothing I have used in the last 20 some years ever kept my car "looking" cleaner longer, so far thats only happened with a professional grade ceramic coat and possibly one other product. For example Bead Maker looked amazing but only when clean and it had no staying power. Will post updates here, looking forward to what other people report back with as well.

For the record Im not a fan of mixing different products, you dont really know what you end up with or what is actually working in the end. Playing around with dilution ratios with water on the other hand I am a fan of.

*edit*
I like Forensic Detailing better than Pan the Organizer.

Did this 2019 Colorado ZR2 for an engineer for Eaton today. $250 a pop. I do about 8 of the engineers here a month. Took about 4 hours on this. Surface prep, apply a thick carnuba, then applied the hybrid ceramic. Thats the Eaton plant in the back ground

So let me get this straight, the first coat you wash the car, dry it, spray wipe done?
Than up keep us spray and hose off?

Going to have to try this.

After washing the car, spray the product on and then dry.

I dry my car, then spray the Meguire's on, followed with a spray bottle of distilled water (Indo each panel individually). Then I wipe the product in using a crosshatch pattern. I then grab a dry microfiber and buff to perfection. It only takes a few more minutes to apply this way. In my mind this allows me to stack a coat after each wash.

Before I began using the HCW I would follow up each wash with a spray detailer. The HCW actually coats and protects the paint. It also gives a shine that is amazing considering the small amount of work needed, and the cost.

Lol....after a month or longer finally had some time to use the Hybrid Wax. I am working on and listing my home soon so that has been taking up all my time. Anyway I did enjoy using the Hybrid Wax on my Subaru since I am an old school detailer for a long time. I washed my DD and did clay the surface with my Cobra clay mitt. I applied the first coat with a foam applicator and wiped dry for the base coat. I did not use the wax on the glass or tires since I have certain products that I like to use for these areas.

The results show how nice it makes the metallic pop with help from my sharp Nikon/Lens. It was a constant downpour here today and watched the water just sheet off the paint. I will use the Hybrid Wax on all my DD vehicles but when I get my next GT500 soon I will still use the old school way on that.

I don’t know if it’s the humidity here or what, but this stuff smeared like jelly and it’s still not off my truck. Bought 4 bottles so I’m going to try to get this off and give it another go after a wash. First impression not good.
