So the car showed up at the dealership today so I’ll be able to pick up tomorrow.
Went over to look at it. I see what people mean about the tires... looks like they are used and almost bald ‍ but they are brand new.....
I’ll post pics when I pick it up

For all practical purposes MPSC2's don't make sense as daily driver tires. Too sticky, too tramline, too expensive, too cold natured, too hydroplane... however carve up a canyon on any road course any they are outstanding.

I let discount tire do mine, just asked the manager and they have insurance to cover any damage... I told them how much the wheels cost and noted there was none on the way in and he said any would be covered like any other wheel/car they work on and are responsible for. They did a good job.

I don't see how they will be too sticky. The tread rating is listed as 180. Look at the R888R's that gets put on these cars and driven on the road, those are rated at 100. I found several places where I could buy a 325/30 R20 cup 2's for within 20 or so dollars of the R888R's, and with potentially double the life, it will be a lower cost of owning per mile. Now lets just hope they are sticky enough to hook up the power I'm looking at.

Ahhh, but not my definition of daily driving. This is why I have two sets of wheels, CF+MPSC2 for track work and a second set with Hankook's for daily driving.

Too sticky is throwing rocks or loose gravel like a snow blower and the slightly lower traction makes almost anything I do on a public road more fun, especially if it starts to rain.

I like to make the car feel fast and break-em loose a bit when I play and when I do that with the SC2's it requires more speed and power because the additional dry grip and traction, doesn't make sense on a public road.

My MPSC2's are stored in the house in winter since they can't be exposed to freezing temps, something about altering the molecular structure. And if it's an R, you better have some good locks on them CF rims...

If 2020 SC2's are similar to the earlier R's, then I'm not sure they should be standard equipment, imo way better as a option.
