Do you think if I move the nozzles inboard by 1 cylinder using high clearance holders (don't remember who I got them from) I'll have interference issues with the block?

My original location for nozzles is where the brass plugs are:

The problem were the lines. They DID interfere with the block. I had to move them, so I chose the cover.

I used a level as a straight edge. My nozzles are 1/4" from the knock sensors.

When I start it up after playing for a few minutes it's up to about 150 degrees. Get into body and it goes down to 130 pretty quickly. I'm really considering installing the header blankets I got, it just shouldn't get that hot with a hood extractor.

I'm using #3s under the intake and a #5 behind the blower.

Think I found a reason my IATs are hot, the intake tube has huge gaps around the air box. I siliconed it.

If coolant temps are running over 200 deg, how does a 170 deg tstat help?

On its own not much, but if you program your fans to come on earlier you can lower the operating temperature of the engine. I have mine set to 190 low and 212 high and most of the time the temp is between 186-196 at 110 ambient.

So is the advantage of the 170 in that situation that it is staying open vs opening and closing like a 192 would, thus keeping coolant flow as high as possible? (Just trying to learn a little something here.)
