So basically a guy in a local chat said his friend was having a easy time a killing bolt on 5.0s and camaros and was looking for any coyote to represent. I kept to myself at first and even made a recommendation on who would be a decent run for the M3 but guys were either not available or downright avoiding it. So after a week of “any coyote for an M3?” I decided to set it up. I left my velgens in the front and went on pump gas to even it up as much as I could based on how I figured it would go. Met up with him, chill dude, we spoke a bit and did 2 runs.

Well no shit he's having an easy time against bolt-on 5.0's and Camaro's, he's probably making close to or as much power as them stock, plus he has a DCT transmission. Not fussing at you by any means OP, but what did he expect? I mean look at the way he kept with you (even though you were turned down).

Good kill and way to represent!

Note: I'm honestly not mad regardless of how my post reads. LOL

I hear you. Its my understanding that those cars with his mods put down 580-600whp and 650 or so torque. He said on the dyno he was on it put down 560whp and 600+ torque. So yes I agree a bolt on mustang would have nothing for that being 130whp and like 250wtq behind.

That's phenomenal really. What would you estimate your car at in those runs?

Both are awesome cars. Dude brought a knife to a gunfight tangling with a supercharged coyote from a roll though. Might have been closer from a dig.

Local BMW arent really big into digs. They mostly seem to think they are bad dig cars. In my mind they seem like a solid dig car, the M series that is.

Assuming you were on a tire, how do you think a dig would have went?

Let me theorize that based on your pulling power you still would've came around, but because a centri car can leave so hard and still put the pieces together, I don't know that the BMW would've stood any better of a chance. But IDK.

Didnt really get a good look at his rear tire setup. Im on a 17 ET street SS. I think he wouldve kept me at bay til about 100 on a street dig.

Good runs. A boosted Coyote is nothing to sneeze at.
I am a big fan of those M cars though. Even those BMW X5M suvs are nasty and great looking.

1. Great run and love the CO color.
2. Why did you detune it just to run him? Would he not agree to run your normal setup?

An ET street R might be better. I just dont try launching all that much on the street.

I don't understand it myself. Sure if you're launching on a prepped street like you see in some of these videos on YouTube. But the majority of my friends, who make good power (600+), they love dig racing on the streets. Unprepped. And while we have the perfect road for it, it just seems like a recipe for disaster, regardless of tire choice.
