I have a Milwaukee 28v 1/2 and a 20v Dewalt 3/8. Dewalt XR is angry. the 3/8 will take off lugs that are properly torqued. My brother has the 1/2 Dewalt and it is stronger than my 28v (with a new oem battery).

Exactly why I thought the 3/8" might be best all around if it bust lugs

I went 1/2" because I'd rather use it on the heavy shit and hand tighten little things. I also picked up a 3/8" AC Delco electric ratchet that I use quite a bit for the smaller stuff. It still goes up to 57 ft/lbs so plenty for little stuff. I'll pickup a dewalt 1/4" impact driver when I find a good sale.

Used my 1/2” M18 Fuel to rebuild my 8.6 rear in my truck last weekend. It made torquing down the pinion nut a breeze! If any of you have done it before you know what I’m talking about, around 500 ft/lbs to start crushing the sleeve and it did it like it wasn’t there. I use the 3/8” for everything else but electric impacts are the best thing since sliced bread I tell ya.

I have all three from ingersol. The 1/4” gets used the most here lately. When I put a stud in my crank that 1/2” broke the bolt loose in two hits. Ill never go back to air tools
