Hello I am new to this forum. I am going to get right to it. I have an 01 Svt Cobra with a procharger (I do not beat the snot out of my car) and it is only driven on sunny non rainy days. I have been having an issue with the car that I have ran my head into the wall trying to figure it out, I have given myself pounding headaches trying to solve the issue. I'll let you all know my thoughts shortly. But the issue is this, when I shift from say 1 or 3 gear during traffic or coming to a stop and I put the car in neutral (so I dont have my left leg bigger than the other) my car loses power and dies. Ultimately losing power steering, radio shuts off etc. You get the picture. I have a couple of thoughts, the 1st being the car hasn't warmed up to full operating temp, and the 2nd is that since I still have the stock clutch with a super charger the stock clutch has reached the end of life and need to replace it with a performance clutch. Before anyone asks yes the plugs have been changed to to match the power of the procharger, all the fuel injectors are performance, fuel filter is performance and it has an intercooler. It was a full kit specially ordered from procharger and tuned to match from a well know performance shop. Does anyone else have the same or had the same issue? Any thoughts? I'll take any advice or let you all know if I had tried. I appreciate everyone who may respond to the post. Yes I know i it keeps going but the more information I put out there the more you know.

My first guess would be that the fuel pump is dying..
maybe IAC..

Are you reading any codes?

The fuel pump seems to be fine. I thought about iac or the maf. I'm going to replace them first. I know sometimes with a supercharger the maf needs to be switched to the Ford lighting 80mm. Not sure about any codes since I dont know have a code reader so I'll have to take it somewhere. My car only has 39,800 miles on it and everything thing is original.

Do you have a afm power pipe?

Who tuned the car?

I have an inter cooler kit that came with my procharger. My car was tuned by alternative auto performance which is owned by Lidio.

Forgot to mention I will be replacing the egr valve also. The original one looks a little rusty I take that back a lot rusty for my liking.

Mine was tuned by Lidio as well. Its Vortech’d with a AFM pipe on it. I would email him and see what he thinks.

Mine did pretty much the same thing when coming to a stop in high rpms. 3-1. All i did was put a filter wrap on mine and it solved the issue.

It being intercooled, I’m not sure. I would shoot him an email and see if he has any suggestions.

Other then that, my tune is spot on. 0 issues 5 years running.

Wouldn't start changing part til you figure out the problem first. Best bet is to contact your tuner and explain the problem you are having, as already stated by Dirks9901. Would also datalog the car and send it off to tuner for verification. If you changed parts after a tune it very well have affected the tune....

You're saying as you come to a stop you have the car in gear and using some engine braking to help slow down? After the RPMs drop down low enough you push in the clutch and it dies? Mine used to do that even when it was stock sometimes.

I'd let the RPMS drop to about 12-1500 and push the clutch in. Sometimes the RPMs would drop real low and recover other times totally stall. Always fired right back up. I drove around the issue by not letting the RPMs fall so low. I feel like this was an issue with stock 03s as well. Maybe the computer wasn't accounting for the extra drag of the supercharger at the low RPMs and I think the injectors are also off in that situation?

sounds like there's a hiccup in the tune to me. As mentioned, call your tuner and talk to him. They may need you to datalog the issue as it happens to see what needs to be done. I would NOT go changing parts at this point.

Hello again. I'm just giving you an update after I visited the tuner today. I was told the car runs really good and everything with the engine tune checks out. He did make a small adjustment to the throttle cable. So I'll see if that works. Car was put on the dyno and made 416 hp to the wheels. Hopefully the adjustment to the throttle cable will help. If it does on to the exhaust. I am thinking bbk catted x-pipe with borla stingers.
