Hi everyone!! I found this forum while searching about ecoboost swaps. I have in mind a geeat swap that I plan on doing next year. I am already gathering parts up. I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row before I start the project.

The only thing I'm not sure of is whether to keep my current stock BCM , abs, ect or if I should ditch it and retrofit everything from the donor vehicle. I plan on using a 2010-2012 MKS with the 3.5eb. It's the transverse engine that's awd and it sits exactly the same way my current drivetrain does with the engine on the right.

From reading some of the other threads, it looks as if one could turn pats off in the donor ecu and it was said that stock abs could be used. I didn't see anything else about this or how to make it work. If I could get the engine and trans to be on their own and my BCM and everything else be on their own, it would make it so much easier. I just haven't found the 1st retrofit schematic of what exactly is needed form a factory donor as of yet.

I'm determined to make this swap happen and will retrofit the entire donor electronics into my car if I need to make it happen. I came here to see if there was an easier way such as the bare minimum that is needed for the eb to run in the swap. From what I've seen, there has been some nice swaps go on and I hope that I could be one of the next.

So, with that said, I'm looking for some information on the following if anyone is willing to share:
a retrofit schematic on what's needed for the engine (and trans)
A pinout on an eb edu or where to tap for the use of a different BCM (such as my car)
And any information about retaining my stock abs with an eb saw.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Ray

Hey everyone. So I did some more homework and read many threads over and over again and have come up with 2 different plans of attack depending on the donor year.

If the donor that I get is a 2010, I will be leaving all of my factory wiring and ecu in place and figure out what systems are not needed from the donor vehicle for the engine and trans to run. I will have those shut off if I can find someone that can do it for me. I had seen some people suggest someone but I couldn't find any info on them. This would allow me to keep things more factory as well as the use of my current cluster.

Now if the donor is a 2011-12, I'll just retrofit everything over from the donor to my car. No big deal as I can use my factory switches and just either depin or splice the donor vehicle wiring to adapt to my switches. I would also retrofit the radio, a.c. controls, cluster and everything else I might want into my dash. Obviously this plan will take a little longer but in the long run would be ok.

Now that I've got more of an attack plan I will go ahead and start getting my car prepped for the ordeal. Sadly I have to buy more parts than what's needed beings that my car is a 2003 and the way the current front subframe is. If I was starting with a 2006 this wouldn't have been an issue because the subframe is set up closer to the donors due to how it allows the exhaust to run.

I'll probably take this year to gather all the parts needed including the donor and start labeling everything. I'm hoping that if I do this first, I shouldn't have too much down time between the swap and start-up/1st drive. I know everyone says that but I'm looking to do a very smooth transition in the long run. I can always take more time finalizing the switches and the such.

So I'm about to pick up a donor. I'm pretty stoked about doing this. However, I can not find any info on who does the pats delete. I've tried searching his name and have found nothing.

Does anyone have any contact information that they can share on who I can send the ecu off to? I'm pretty sure I'll have the donor vehicle by the end of next month if I play my cards right.

Getting pats turned off would be about my only hurdle that I won't be able to figure out my self. The rest I would consider easy vs trying to read the ecu without any prior knowledge of them lol.

There is a guy in Florida that can turn PATS off if you send him your PCM. I am traveling currently so I do not have his contact info with me but I will post as soon as I return home, which will be some time yet.

If you want PATS removed from a 2011-2019 Ecoboost PCM, contact Eric Brooks at 229-646-3996.
He will want you to ship him your PCM and he will remove PATS and ship it back. I do not know his current pricing, but I recall others saying that he is very reasonable and fast service.
