I have one. Best mattress I've owned. I have the original purple mattress, their frame, the pillow and I even have a seat cushion. I've drank the koolaid for sure with no regrets. I'm a side sleeper and it's great for that. I've had it almost a year.

How much you weigh?

I'm ~180lbs & HATED the original, especially side sleeping I could feel the frame and all, it sucked (Mattress Firm's delivery company screwed up and sent the original, instead of the 2)

Purple 3 & 4 is where it's at with Purple. Had to exchange the 2 for a 3 and I have no regrets at this point.

6'3 240lbs. I came from a good double pillow top mattress. I can't feel the frame at all and it hasn't sagged at all since we've owned it. The only complaint I have is busting a nut dragging that big purple dildo up the stairs lol.

Funny when you start talking mattresses how many people chime in. Did the same thing it arrived last week, but I went with "Dream Cloud".
Was thinking purple, but they roped me in with the cashmere pillow top and the hybrid springs rather than just memory foam.

End of the day I sleep like a baby, but its more like a firm jello, not so much a cloud. So yeah not a soft as it looked online.

Original Purple is memory foam only. The new 2, 3, & 4 all have individual pocketed coils

I didn't want any coils in my bed since every mattress I've had with could in it sag over time. That's why I went with the original. I did a lot of research before buying from them and they really stand behind their products which is awesome. I did get a waterproof cover for ours as well because I was worried how I would clean it if the dog or a kid puked on it etc if it got through their cover. It's still pretty cool feeling I think. Thinking about getting my 4 year old one in the spring.

New Purple 4 mattress arrived and the old Purple 4 mattress removed. I must say that it was a real treat watching those two delivery guys try to manhandle the old mattress back to the delivery truck! The mattresses come from the factory rolled up very tight and wrapped in plastic. About the same size in circumference as a telephone pole. Once you cut the wrapping... WHAM! The mattress pretty much explodes into shape. However they are way more flexible and heavier than a regular coil spring mattress. Those two delivery guys looked like they were wrestling a 200lb passed out drunk chick to an Uber. :D

As you can see the new mattress passes the gallon jug test.

^ Agree.

We tried a generic memory foam mattress about 8 years ago. At the time I assumed the more memory foam the better. So I opted for 5" of memory foam. Well it was hot AF. I realize sheets and the design underneath the foam effect heat too but IMO most of the heat was simply from having too much dense memory foam.

So then we spotted an off brand foam mattress at Costco. Knowing their return policy we decided to go for it. Best damn bed I've ever had and I have a sensitive back thanks to my long and lanky body frame. Well we decided to get more of the mattresses but just as our luck Costco quit selling them. So we found them on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Sleep-Innovations-12-inch-Mattress-Warranty/dp/B01EAG9X84/

We bought 3 more total. 1 for each of my 2 kids and 1 for the spare room. Every guest I have had stay with me has commented on how great that bed is. 3 of my guests have actually asked where to get one and have gotten the exact same one. All 4 of our beds are now 4-5 years old and they haven't developed any type of memory in the foam. They rebound back up just like new.

Same. My queen was $400. After doing research the Costco beds seem to break down after 5 years and the tempurpedic seem to break down every 8 to 10 years. The problem is the tempurpedic is 4 to 6 times as much money.

I’ll gladly buy a new mattress every 5 years while saving $1000-1500 bucks overall!

Also heard good things about about Casper and Molecule mattresses.
“Buy a good bed and good shoes. If you’re not in one you’re in the other.” Wise words.

Sorry that your Purple Mattress hasn't worked out for you. We were looking at new mattresses in October/November. Considered a Purple, Leesa and other similar mattresses but just didn't like anything foam based. We ended up buying an Aireloom Somerset Firm King Mattress with dual adjustable base. Wasn't cheap, but we love it. I haven't slept so soundly in years. I hope Purple Mattress takes care of your issues with no hassle. Sounds like it's going in that direction.

Man, on a whim I bought an Aireloom mattress not knowing what it was, just that I had been taking naps in the mattress store for a week and that one was the best I felt. I was in sticker shock paying for it, but after 5 years I don't regret it AT. ALL. Amazing mattress all around.

If you have the money, grab an Aireloom! I can't speak highly enough of them.

Still loving our Purple 4. This one has not sagged in the middle like the first one. Now that the temps are climbing this mattress really starts to shine. It sleeps so cool when you dress it with bamboo sheets.

$4k on a mattress but you didn't change the frame, headboard, or footboard? i would be searching for something more modern and lower to the ground

I did the research and ended up going latex, best decision ever. Totally able to customize with different firmness using 4 different interchangeable layers. Also does not sag over time at all like the synthetic foam ones all will eventually do.
