Just like Zyborg said, if you don't want to pay it, don't pay it. Someday down the food chain, one way or another, if they want one, they will have one, as ADM's will die out. We've seen in the past, time after time with the Gt500.
Quit blaming the guys with money, sounds like sheer jealousy. Just have patience, i'm extremely positive, after the first year these will be easy to find at MSRP. The track pack, depending on how they allocate, may be a stretch at MSRP for the first 1 or 2 years, but still, Should't be too difficult for the last year.

The ADM situation changed in California when Ford started selling the GT350. ADMs were the rule of the land up until 2018. Since the GT500 will probably be a 2 year run, I don't expect to see any around here going for MSRP. I called all the dealers within 300 miles and they all plan on charging a ADM.

I love how dealers justify charging adm's saying "everybody wants it".

You know what everyone of those dealers want? MONEY.

Since "everyone" wants my money, it's only fair that I say every $1.00 I give you is now worth $1.50 since even more people want money than they do the car you're selling.

See how stupid that is?
Hahahahaha yea... Ok... You go walk into a dealer and tell us how that works out for you. You aren't the one with the product and thousands of people standing outside with cash in hand.

Lets spin this another way. Say you whiny poof lickers got your way and the dealers by law couldn't charge a penny more. Those thousands of people standing outside will quadruple in numbers and your lqck of chances to buy one doesn't change.

Fact is, if you cant or dont want to pay adm too ****en bad end of story

Not end of story, I've bought all my GT500's at MSRP or less...which is exactly what happens after dealers run out of suckers to pay over sticker.

Yeah, because there are thousands and thousands of people out there willing to drop 75k on a Mustang...look at sales, most Mustang sales are not top model GT's, but rather the sub 30k models.

Simply pointing out flawed logic and dealer greed, don't get so butt hurt, it's just the internet.

You call them “suckers”...

I’ll call them “people with more buying power that were able to get what they wanted, when they wanted it and hurt many a snowflake feels along the way”.

I can see both sides. I understand that dealerships are a business and they are out to make money, period. I bought an 03 Cobra, GT500, and a 17 Raptor all without an ADM. I just had to search until I found a dealer that wanted to sell at sticker. Even dealers that I have bought multiple cars from wanted an ADM. I don't and didn't blame them for wanting to make money. It just wasn't going to be from me. As for the 2020 GT500 I was lucky and it took about 10 min to secure one at MSRP with a deposit. My dealership is only getting two and I'm number two.

Spot on, could, but zero desire. Don’t care.

Some people make payments on their house for 30 years and put a lot of extra money in it over that time. And your appreciation doesn't take into consideration the loss in the dollars value over a 30 year timespan. Not all houses go up in value, you have to be pretty lucky to get more than you paid for your house. Having said that, the majority don't stay in the same house for more than 7 years, if that long. There are always exceptions to every rule.

The only people that don't have a problem with ADMs are dealers and people that are into instant gratification and don't care how much they pay for something as long as they are the first kid on the block with the shiny new toy. Luckily, most of those people bore easily with the new toy and are already looking for a way to stand out in the crowd, so they spend most of their time and effort looking for the next shiny object. That's where a lot of the members on this and other forums step up and buy the rich kids toys at a substantial discount. Yeah for rich kids. That's what I call instant devaluation.
Most houses go up in value. My point being is this: those that say it’s not fair dealers ask for adm have no problem asking for more than they paid for their house. Typical I can do it but no one else can argument.

Are you describing @Kaneda in the second part?

See how stupid that is?
Or saying the gt500 will be displayed next week, only to wait two more years!

If someone will pay more for it why should they sell it to you?
That’s all an adm is. Sometimes they are correct sometimes they are wrong.

I do know one thing. Dealers would make a hell of a lot more money if they sell every car at msrp rather than discounting most and adding an adm to a very few!

Thanks for the links, but they just repeat an article from Automobile.com. Nothing directly from Ford, only unnamed sources. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

"According to sources familiar with the strategy, but not connected to Ford"

"One source says the CD6 Mustang, which goes by the codename S650, appears to be delayed at least to the 2026 model year, while another source guesses 2028 or 2029, either of which makes it less of a product plan than a promise to keep building the icon."

Might be and I hope not.

Saw this today. Seems fake.
