My problem is not so much of intake in regards to food and calories as it is that I have been hampered by injuries.

I tore my Rotator Cuff twice in HS. Once playing football and again baseball. I tore it a third time in Iraq and went through six months of deployment with the tear.

Surgery didn’t help as I found I also have type two borderline three achromium disorder.

Rehab and surgery have not been great. It caused the tear in the elbow.

I watch what I eat I just have a hard time with exercise due to pain and fear of another injury.

In order for those low carb diets to work, you have to STAY on a low carb diet, otherwise you gain it all back and then some.

TRT or not it still boils down to cals in vs out. Meaning you can reduce intake generally cutting back carbs and fats but it varies and increasing energy expenditure. HIIT based cardio is a great way to do this.

The reality is most people don’t fully account for what all they intake so you may be surprised just how far in excess your food intake is.

Just started a cycle I'll be between 375 and 500mg a week of test for a few weeks and then move down maybe to reduce sides.

That’s not a TRT cycle lol if you’re going to do it may as well just stay at 500 a week. Support with proper AI as needed and you should have no issues with sides.

yes and no, coming off a low carb diet someone would need to slowly ramp up carbs till they figure out what keeps them at maintenance level for overall caloric intake.

Basically one could low car diet for a given period to reduce body fat then continue to train and slowly add back in carbs and then level off. They would then be creating a new culture of eating habits which is what the overall goal should be vs just yo-yo around with crash type diets.

I quit drinking pop at the same time I had a 4 day bout of diarrhea, and lost 15 pounds in a week and a half. (6’ 208 to 193)

Haven’t had pop in 5 weeks, still sitting at 192/193.

If I could get rid of carbs and I started running, I have no doubt I could reach 180 without even trying.

Only problem is I am 34 and lazy... oh, and I love bread.

Start simple then, don’t make dieting overly hard. Unless you have some reason to do so very quickly it’s better to take a slow and steady approach. Start with simply increasing activity level, jog, bike, hike, what ever. Combine that with at least 4 days of lifting for 30-40 min each day and you’d be surprised how much that alone will help and still allow you to enjoy carbs.

indeed, you can take supplements, anabolic agents, but you still have to eat right and put in the work.

Just drinking water most of the day rather than coffee/tea/soda/juices/etc. will make a huge difference.

If you're doing keto, you can use heavy whipping cream and stevia (or erythritol) in your coffee.

And you people who say you lost 10 lbs in a week . . . you realize that is physically impossible for that to not be mostly water weight . . . unless you're fasting and running a marathon a day.

It’s most certainly water weight. For example on average when I’m actually training hard and eating a nice caloric surplus I fluctuate around 5-6lbs between morning and evening.

The best time to monitor weight it top of the morning after pee/poo before any eating or drinking happens. That’s where you get a more consistent baseline. Though even then the scale is simply a tool to utilize to track progress
