Killer SVTP Deal on Trackspec Motorsports Hood Vents

Had quite a few people send me messages about the hood vent setup I have so I decided to reach out to John at Trackspec and see if he wouldn't mind offering the forum members a deal on their products. Let me first state, I'm not a rep for them, nor is there a nickle in product or cash for me in this. I'm simply trying to look out for fellow 03-04 owners looking to dramatically lower undehood temps, while adding a pretty sharp and subtle exterior mod, without having to buy a $1200+ hood. I will say these keep my engine substantially cooler. You can literally see vapor rising through the vents at op temp. Yes, you do need to cut your stock hood so this is not for purists. The template and process is not as daunting as you might think. Anyhow, here's a link to each product and what John agreed to do for SVTP members. Looks sharp. If I didn’t have a race bronco DF hood in my parts bedroom I’d be all over this. Might still anyways but you are correct about purity or resale. Def can’t go back to stock.

For those that have installed the competition, how daunting is cutting the hood? What did you use to cut to ensure edges are good? I want to get both but the cutting worries me.

I’ve cut on a couple of our hoods and it’s super simple. Lay some painters tape down, trace your template, use a dremel type cutting wheel, cut the holes on the INSIDE of the lines so you can lightly sand to desired opening. The vents hide small strays in your cuts.

These aren’t universal. They are 03-04 specific. I believe they do offer a universal vent

It’s fiberglass and you only see the cut edges from the underside of the hood so it’s not “necessary” but sure, you can
