Wow the gen 3 is really impressive. 675hp on CA 91 octane on a carb legal tune. Its gotta feel great. You make more hp than i do on my gen 2 91 octane tune. Less tq but more hp. Congrats

It sure is, I was expecting 620-640 whp. The consistent 665-675 whp number really surprised me lol.
The Gen3 Whipple is definitely stout!

100% stock exhaust. I’m content.

Very impressed with those numbers. What pulley are you using and what boost did it make. Also is there a reason you didn’t use the gen 4 rotors.

He bought the frpp whipple 725hp CARB legal kit. So maybe it was certified yet would be my only guess.

15-16lbs .
CARB legal kit includes a 3” pulley.
Gen3 rotors is what’s available on the CA CARB legal kit.
Were you able to manually check the boost level?

The 3in pulley on a gen 2 would make up to 19/20psi. But that was only past the stock rev limiter. I believe your still on the factory 6250 rpm limiter. Would that be correct?

Exactomundo!

CARB legal kit is rated 725-750 on the 07’-09’. (Which is what I have)

Consistent rwhp at ~670 +/-5, puts me at about 770 crank with a 13% drivetrain loss.
My baseline runs were 435-440 a little over month ago on the same dyno. If you check out my YouTube page you’ll see I’ve always gone to this BMW shop to dyno my vehicles.

Not sure if the Gen3 2.9 will produce 19-20psi with the 3” pulley.
Whipple states 15-16lbs on my CARB legal kit with the CARB legal tune they included.

Correct, my limiter is still set at 6,250. Internals all still being stock, I don’t need to surpass what the engineers deemed safe on these motors lol

I need to meet you if you're in southern California. Don't see many 07-09 Shelbys anywhere anymore. You've honestly changed my mind on these gen 3 whipples. With my mods this should bump me up another 40rwhp, but I'd like to do a bit more research first. These motors can handle 700+ easily, but that's up to you.

A custom tune with a catless mid pipe puts me at 700whp. Honestly though, that defeats the purpose for me and I’ll be the first to tell you, more isn’t always “MORE” if you know what I mean haha

What’s your suspension like??
I stay in OC / 57 & 210 intercept area.
What about you?

Yea I feel you on the "more" thing, but to each it's own. I do want more lol. Just a bit more, and the gen 3 would put me over the top. I "drag" race so more in my case would help me. Suspension is aftermarket LCAs, sway bar, shocks, springs. Theres a rearend stabilizer that i cant remember the exact name of lol. And i say aftermarket because the brand name slips my mind everytime. The car definitely stays straight though paired with M/T tires that i have. I'm off of the 710/105 so you're not too far.
