Since you doing a draw through and the reduction is after the maf sensor you should be fine. Hell your bov circulates back to just after the maf sensor. That would cause more turbulence than the pipe reduction would. Correct me if im wrong but isn't your setup having the maf right after the filter?

You are correct. Its driving me nuts lol. I am truly wondering if I can use the sct sensor in the cobra housing? But to answer your question yes my maf will be after the filter. Its a V1 non intercooled kit. The big filter adaptor is around 50 bucks. Don't want to do that if the parts I already have will work even if I have to swap sensors and housings.

So after comparing maf meters I noticed that the ba3000 does not have a flange and it is 4". Even if I buy taper from 3 to 4" will this cause reading issues? I do have a 03 cobra maf I can run if this one doesn't work. I got it because it was draw or blow through. Maybe I am overthinking some of this and confusing myself

Just buy or make a 4" powerpipe.

I'll try to find my Vortech install manual and take some pics. I'll post up em up. Maybe it'll help you out and whoever else stumbles across this thread.

Since you’re doing draw thru you will need this thing.

have it already. Had someone offer me a 2.1 KB with a brand new JLT intake, to trade for my v1. The simplicity of the KB and I have access to a meth kit from a friend I bet I could squeeze good power out of that? Has me thinking real hard!! I already have for green top 42lbs and a ba3000 maf. Less time to intall with less chance of me getting pissed off and smashing everything I own.

4” power pipe and coupler to MAF and filter will be next best thing.

The flex tube not fit over 90mm MAF?

KB with b-head are no good. 2.1’s barely make 500 on 2 valves and those are intercooled.

Do Vortech plus the meth.

He said it came with a powerpipe. He does not need this. This is only used with the factory Vortech inlet that comes with the cheap flex tube. .

I used that with LMAF and 4” power pipe when I had a setup for draw-thru. IIRC the MAF bolts to this bracket and it bolts to fender/bumper mounts.

I lied. It just came with the flex tube. Let me post a pic of how it will look. And I want it to funtion correctly and not look like it was trailer park built so the flex pipe has to go. So by looking at my piping. what do I need to make this work that I need to add to the intake pipe going into the head unit? I do need to get a maf with a flange so I have my ba3000 up for trades, at this point i am getting a bit confused, seems there are allot of piping still needed?
