How many of the 00R owners on here have tuned their own R? If so, what advice would you give on your successes and things to focus on?

In my review of older posts on here, and with many SVT's, there is room for improvement even with mild exhaust/MAF modifications.

I plan on changing the exhaust, but that's about it for mine. Will do some data logging to see what I can find out soon. Appreciate any advice others may have.

I remember when bruce was selling his kit, eliminated the air silencer Box, bigger inlet tube and throttle body, you could opt for an optional tune.

Not sure if he still has it available, maybe send him a pm ?

I have an SCT PRP(pro racer package) that I use to tune my modified engine 00R. I've also tuned 2 other 00R's with it. Installing the high flow exhaust can cause deceleration backfiring.

Do you have an SCT device? I could send you a tune.

Paul.

Hi Paul,

I am a SCT PRP owner as well. Tuned many of my cars over the past 17yrs with it! I’d love to see your tune as a starting point for mine - and chat sometime.

I’ve heard about the backfire issue - will need to address that.
