Been on more than 15 cruises and always had a great time. If you go on a trashy line youre going to get the trash with it.

Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Carribean, Princess, Celebrity, Carnival, Holland America....been on them all.

Negative. We did it once, and I regretted it the whole time. And it was free.

I will fly to the bahamas next time I go.
Yeah, we do enjoy flying to the islands and enjoy them at our own pace. Our RC cruise ship stopped in Bermuda, which was beautiful, and we took a taxi (a local told us how to beat the crowds seeking a taxi) to a nice secluded beach where we relaxed in the sun and water for a couple of hours. We would have loved to have gone back to that beach the next day, but after a couple of hours in the sun we had to report back to the ship.

We have close friends who absolutely love cruises. Well, the husband does. The wife "tags" along begrudgingly. LOL. They do a minimum of two cruises a year. So there are a lot of people who can't get enough of them.

St Thomas has the benefit of being a US territory, St Maarten is half french half dutch. Did you get to visit airport beach? I stood behind an A320 when I went in 2014.

We actually went on an awesome excursion where they took about 20 of us out in the ocean on a small boat all around both sides of St Maarten, took us snorkeling, fed us at an authentic hurricane-ravaged restaurant (food was great!) and ended with watching the planes come to land from the boat! It was by far the best excursion I have been on during a cruise. They fed us rum punch and beer the entire time as well... Wife said it was the best day of her life.

Been on a bunch of cruises. They're definitely fun. We usually bring a bunch of rum runners and before we board the ship we hit up a local store and fill them. We can get 5-6 750ml sizes on between both our luggage. By the end of the cruise we usually have 3-4 other couples partying with us!

pretty different circumstances lol. For you single guys ....cruise ships are the BEST .

Yikes, that had to have been awkward.

I remember we went on a family cruise after I had turned 21. I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 3 years, lost 40 pounds and was in pretty good shape. However, I was still pretty shy. Anyways, 2nd night on the cruise I had made some friends and we were all hanging out at the cruise club. Ended up meeting this girl and we instantly hit it off, talking and laughing for a good 20 minutes. Out of the blue, she asked me my age. She looks at me and says, "I'm 25, I can't be with anyone younger than me. Nice to meet you, have a good night." I was super confused. But whatever.

Next morning, low and behold who's on our excursion for the day with her family? Yep, it was super awkward.

Right then and there I learned to lie about my age. lol

Some cruises let you take on a bottle of wine per person
Tip;
Buy one white+one red,drink wine.
Keep cork. Fill white wine bottle w/clear alcohol of your choice, red bottle w/amber colored alcohol of your choice, recork seal
top w/wax.
Enjoy.

naw man. Knock on wood I've never been on a broken one, in 17 years. The ships carry extra food and water, they have to for these situations. Plus they have extra engines =)

They let you bring water on too...
I've seen this done with mouthwash bottles also, where there's a will there's a way.

I don't like crowds, beaches, third world countries, norovirus, drinking, or boats so don't think I would have a good time.
