I definitely enjoy it. I have a passion for cruise ships/freighters so it's always an experience. Been on a few Disney as a kid, couple of Carnival and Royal Caribbean. I must say the RC Oasis class is by far the best experience. Yes more people but the ship has more to offer. Port wise I absolutely loved Aruba, St Maarten and Turks/Caicos Island.

Never really had a bad experience with a ship, I did get dehydrated once but never bad food or service. And as far as ship stability I can only think of 1-2 Days on a Carnival couple of years back leaving Aruba coming to Miami and we hit some decent swells. Other than that you generally don't feel the movement.

As others said it just depends on what you want to do or what you plan out to do whether its on the ship/days at sea only or on the island.

No way I'll go on a cruise. My wife knows better than to ask, cuz I always say I'll pay for her to go with a friend but I am not going.

Floating prison?...sounds about right.

Negative. We did it once, and I regretted it the whole time. And it was free.

I will fly to the bahamas next time I go.

I've never been on a cruise but this is a top fear of mine lol. I can't fathom going and ending up like the titanic haha.

I have friends who have went and they seemed to love it, they said the amount of booze and women is what made it worth it lol.

No. I'm deathly scared of the ocean and I get massively sea sick. On top of that it doesn't sound like my kind of vacation. I'd rather be backpacking in the middle of nowhere, living in a tent for a week, or sitting at a race track. My vacations generally revolve around those things.

Took my wife on her first cruise last fall and she LOVED it. We are planning on another one this fall as a result. lol
I enjoy them but the bad things repeated several times here do resonate with me. I keep telling myself its about the most economical and fun way to visit many countries (especially in the Caribbean)

So far, by favorite places (and most beautiful) have been St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Plus the people there weren't all in your pockets annoying you the whole time like they do in the Bahamas and Jamaica..

Funny- I have a massive fear of being stranded in the open ocean (especially in the dark) but I always feel safe on cruise ships.

St Thomas has the benefit of being a US territory, St Maarten is half french half dutch. Did you get to visit airport beach? I stood behind an A320 when I went in 2014.

I like cruises because the food is extremely good , and you can eat any time you want. Sometimes they throw in free booze. We got free booze last time on NCL and I was drinkin the whole damn time LOL. It also helps to know the good destinations. For me the best ones are in eastern Caribbean and Bermuda. European cruise are bad ass too. They also have European river cruises. As far as getting sick....yes you can for sure get sick. But you won't get sick if you are a normal person, and wash your damn hands before eating.

Been on a Carnival Cruise. Overall I enjoyed it. Learned to not have a one night stand in the middle of the cruise though. Would do another, but the wife is against it.

Spent 20 years in the Navy of which 10 was on sea duty. I think I'm good and have seen most of the places they go anyhow. The only upside to going would be that I would not be handling lines, manning gun mounts, would not do comparative fixes and I would not be scoping out other contacts of interest on radar. :)

Wifey didn’t approve of the one night stand? :D
Even better. I was 22 at the time and hooked upped with a 44 yo. I went on this cruise with my mom...said 44 yo confronted me at the casino in front of my mom. To say things were awkward is an understatement.
