finally have a friend that did a before and after e85 pull to see the benefits of e85. Granted it’s a ls3 corvette, but it gained 150rwhp going from 93 to pump e85 and according to the flex fuel sensor it was around e70-74 I think. Sbe ls3, cam, exhaust, ysi with stock converter.

What’s the most power increase you have seen switching to e85? Bonus points on a vortech mod motor.

It was a cam only long block, full exhaust, ysi ls3 that picked up 150rwhp going from 15lbs on pump 93 to to 15lbs on pump e85.
Now when he was cam and exhaust N/A on 93 to adding blower and e85 he gained 400rwhp lol

560 on 93 to 714 on E85. Stock '04 motor

150 gain on same boost level is pretty crazy. My gain is 154 wheel.....but that's going 18psi to 22psi and a ton more timing across the entire rev band

Some people will want ULTRA safe pump gas tunes, so you could see huge swings to the ethanol tune. Others will run much riskier pump gas tunes....so those swaps might not net as impressive of a change.

I know when I had my car on the dyno after getting it back together, it made 548 at 5,600 rpm with belt slip on pump gas 93. We didn't finish tuning it, and I changed up my fuel system, then I went to E85, and remote tuned it with the help of 04sleeper.

That's all the numbers I have.

I believe it. So mine isn't a full benefit of E85 example because it's on the stock Mach motor and maxed out 60's so we couldn't maximize timing, but just adding 2.5* of timing over the 93 tune the car gained 48rwhp through an auto. 04 Vortech auto Mach. 93 tune with 11.25* vs E85 with 13.75*.

Same tuner (and dyno) for my pump 93 and E85 tunes. I'd say they were both a safe, very street friendly tune. Both tunes were about 12 lbs boost (Roush TVS). Pump 93 tune made 568 HP. E85 tune + VMP 67 mm throttle body and elbow made 670 HP for a 102 HP gain. ETs went from 10.80s to 10.20s. Definitely an E85 fan.

Thats actually a really big gain for just 2 degrees of timing. Same boost?

I’m just curious to see mine when it finally cranks on the power difference. Seeing my buddy’s large gains with e85 gives me hope for 800+ on e85.

It's good to hear about all the gains......
Just thinking,,
I'm running 750hp on 93
I'm running1000hp on e85
My question... what happens to all other related parts
when hit with instant 200hp plus difference when switching 93 >e85
You know, suspension, rear end, clutch, trans etc
Silly question.

I’m pretty much rebuilding my car from the ground up, so hopefully everything can handle the power. Find out the hard way if it ever cranks.
