I filed for divorce in May of 2017, 8 months after getting married. Huge mistake (getting married in the first place), but don't regret it because I got my son out of it. Shortly after filing I reconnected with "the girl that got away". We've been together ever since and she's more than I could ever ask for.
We have a child on the way, due in a couple of weeks actually! 2 weeks ago we were in the kitchen and I just looked at her and said, "let's get married". At first she thought I was kidding, but I wasn't. I was and am as sure about this as I was filing for divorce. Life is really good.
Anyways. After my half assed proposal, I called a buddy of mine to make sure he was still registered in the state as an officiant, he was. Then had to make sure he was available on such short notice, he was.
We ended up getting married last night at our dining room table with our grandparents, parents, siblings and kids present; it couldn't have been more perfect.
Buddies of mine asked me why I would put myself through this again so quickly, after paying out six figures for an 8 month marriage... honestly, my answer is because I can't live without her. I'm the happiest I've ever been, and I feel complete. Kristin is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I look forward to life with her!
I did joke with her, since we've both been divorced, that our "catchy" hashtag should be "#Take2", but she didn't find that as funny as I did haha
Now, for all of you 2020 GT500 guys, BIG news coming directly relating to that in two-ish weeks!
