Will a 2013 GT500 Torsen rear be a direct bolt up in a 2008 GT500? I'm looking to do a complete rear swap and am wondering if I would need to adapt anything? The new rear has 3.73 gears vs. my current 3.31. I suspect my traction button wouldn't work with the new rear? Thanks

To my knowledge it should be a direct bolt up, and as far as your traction control that should work as well. The computer pulses the abs controller that is under the hood. It modulates pressure to the rear brakes to help with traction. I don't know if the larger brakes that come on the 13/14 cars will fit with your stock 18 inch wheels if you still have them. But other than that you should be good to go.

Thanks.. the rear doesn't have brakes, its complete minus brakes. I'd transfer mine over. He said it was professionally built a few hundred miles ago but has a slight whine between 60-70. My rear is so worn out it has been so loud for a couple of years now, a little whine would be much easier on my ears.. Since I have a vert with the top down 95% of the time I'm hoping I won't notice it. Worst case I could rebuild my other rear and still drive the car while seeing if I like the 3.73 vs. the 3.31. Thanks for the info!

Only thing youd have to do is update the gear ratio with your handheld tuner. if your files are locked by your tuner, they will need to update that information and send you the revised tune.

If you didnt update the gear info your speedo an odometer will be off, but the car will run normally.
